During the visits, both representatives spent time discussing Quanex’s role in the door and window industry and its advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C.

“Job creation through advances in manufacturing is critically important to growing America’s economy,” said Johnson. “Companies like Quanex, in Cambridge, that manufacture energy-efficient products, are so important to bringing manufacturing jobs back to Eastern and Southeastern Ohio. Not only will these advanced manufacturing jobs help build a sustainable future by fulfilling the need for energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings, but they will also boost eastern Ohio’s manufacturing base.”

“I was pleased to see first-hand the innovative energy efficient building materials Quanex produces,” added Hastings. “This is exciting news for Central Washington.”
