The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has named Michael J. Thoman as the 2013 Dariush Arasteh Member of the Year.
Nominated by his peers, Thoman was chosen as the award’s recipient by the NFRC board of directors. In his 13-year history with NFRC, Thoman has proved to be a tireless leader and diligent collaborator, having volunteered countless hours and expertise in areas as wide-ranging as task group collaborator to leader of task groups, subcommittees, committees, board member, according to the announcement. As recently as July 2013, he accepted the appointment to chair the NFRC technical committee by the NFRC board. He is the director of thermal testing and simulations at Architectural Testing Inc.
“I am honored to receive this award,” says Thoman. “It has been a pleasure to work with the dedicated and talented members of NFRC over the past 13 years to help further the cause of the organization.”
The NFRC Member of the Year award is named in memory of Dariush Arasteh, an early and vital contributor to the creation and development of NFRC.
