Vitrum Continues in Milan

The 18th Vitrum show, being held this week in Milan, saw a positive trend on the first day of the exhibition, with an overall attendance increase in the first two days compared to the previous Vitrum show in 2011. In addition, show organizers have seen a large turnout of international visitors.

On October 24, there were 2,689 visitors from Italy in attendance, topped by 3,215 visitors from other parts of the world.

Throughout the week, a special exhibit, “Alfa Romeo Live and in Person. An itinerary of Italian Excellence,” is on display in Pavilions 13, 22 and 24. The exhibit is dedicated to the iconic cars produced by the acclaimed Italian carmaker and includes historic models and the company’s new 4C.

John Lloyd with Matodi USA is one of the many U.S.-based exhibitors on-hand at the show this week.

“Traffic on the first day was okay, not too busy, but it seemed that there was moderate traffic with quality customers who are looking at machinery,” he says. “I probably saw maybe ten companies from the USA and Canada, which is quite good for this show”

Vitrum continues through Saturday, October 26.
