Ryan McHugh has joined OptiGas/Integrated Automation Systems as vice president of sales. In addition to sales and customer service, he will provide gas-filling and testing system installation, training and engineering support.
McHugh worked as a manufacturing engineer in the nuclear operations division of Babcock & Wilcox Co. and as a technical sales engineer with Dixon Sanitary, which makes hygienic fittings, valves, pumps and accessories for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
For Babcock, he managed the manufacturing of long lead-time heavy components to ensure customer specifications were followed throughout manufacturing. For Dixon, he was a technical product expert and application engineer for North America, managed large project sales for technical product lines in four industries, worked on new product development and performed technical training.
McHugh graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology. He worked in the insulating glass fabrication industry while in high school and during summers while in college.
“Ryan is a highly qualified solutions engineer who understands insulating glass fabrication from direct experience on the production floor,” says Mike McHugh, president of OptiGas/Integrated Automation Systems. “He’s already made an impact meeting with customers and prospects on the OptiGas road tour.”
