GMIC Offers Travel Grants to Students for Conference on Glass Problems

The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) is offering travel grants to students attending the 75th Conference on Glass Problems, to be held November 3-6 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply, and GMIC will award 20 student travel grants in the amount of $500 to offset travel expenses. All students are eligible to receive complimentary conference registration and a reduced price for lodging.

Also available for students is a plant tour to the Owens Corning Newark Operations in Newark, Ohio on Monday November 3, 2014 from noon to 4 p.m. Students must apply in advance and receive permission to participate in the plant tour. Plant tour participation is available only to students.

The deadline for students to apply is September 30, and more information can be found at www.glassproblemsconference.org. Registration for the event opens in June.
