Enclos, Harmon Flip Spots on ENR Top-20 Firm List

Engineering News-Record (ENR) released its “Top 600 Specialty Contractors” list this past week, and with it, ENR’s top-20 list of firms in glazing and curtainwall. All 20 firms combined had a revenue of just under $1.1 billion in 2013, with the top three companies alone accounting for approximately half of that total.

Enclos came in at number one, swapping with runner-up Harmon Inc., as the two were ranked in reverse last year. Walters & Wolf, meanwhile, was ranked third.

The top-10 totaled $950.3 million. The remainder of the top-10 list is as follows:

  1. W&W Glass
  2. Karas & Karas Glass Co. Inc.
  3. Tower Glass Inc.
  4. Kovach Inc.
  5. Ajay Glass & Mirror Co. Inc.
  6. Crown Corr Inc.
  7. National Enclosure Co. LLC

Kovach, going from number 17 to 7, had the biggest boost in revenue from 2012 to 2013 with a 111 percent jump.

R&R Window Contractors Inc. and H.J. Martin & Son were newcomers to the list at numbers 13 and 14, respectively. AGP Inc., Greenstar Services Cop. And W.S. Nielsen Co. Inc.—at numbers 17, 18 and 20—also made appearances after not being on the list last year.

Gamma Windows and Walls International Inc., Haley-Greer Inc., Alliance Glazing Technologies and RK Mechanical Inc. were ranked 8-11 last year, but didn’t make the top 20 this year. Architectural Walls Systems Co., which came in at number 14 last year, also did not make the top 20 this year.

In 2013, the top-20 totaled $70 million more than the prior year.

USGlass magazine also publishes an annual list of the nation’s top contract glaziers. Check out our 2014 list, published in March, here, and be on the lookout for the upcoming edition in the March 2015 issue.
