Glass Railing Systems
C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. has issued its new HR06 Railing Systems Catalog, whose 224 pages contain the entire architectural railing line. All the components, fasteners, alignment systems, and tools needed to create different styles of glass railings, using either dry glaze or wet glaze installation methods, are included, as well as numerous images of completed installations. Technical and specification data is also presented to assist in choosing the right railing system for each application. The company is now designing and manufacturing its own premium railing systems, including the exclusive new ARS aluminum railing system and AWS aluminum windscreen system; heavy glass base shoe for glass barriers and partitions; HRS cap rail and hand rail systems; the new CRS component rail system; and other railing products.

Terrace Door
United States Aluminum has added the Series 900 terrace door to its product line. Available in outswing and inswing models, the unit features a Structlink II nylon thermal break, 1-inch by 4½-inch frame, 1½ pair mortised aluminum butt hinges and mitered door corners. An HC40 rated French door recommended for use in condominiums, lofts, hotels and apartments, the Series 900 has a five-point lock on pairs of doors. Designed for 1-inch insulating glass the door has 3 ¾-inch wide rails and 2 ¼-inch stiles. Finishes include painted and anodized, with a range of hardware styles available to choose from. The product can be shipped glazed or open.

Fire-rated from Pilkington
Pilkington has expanded its fire protection glass product range to include a new 20-minute Pilkington Pyrodur product. The new product, Pilkington Pyrodur 20-104, has been tested and listed for fire protection by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). It is available in 7 mm thickness and can be cut and stocked by local glazing contractors for immediate delivery. The product blocks approximately 90 per cent of the radiant heat and holds in place during a fire to protect against smoke, flames and hot gasses. Pilkington also offers Pyrodur 20-200 in a 10 mm thickness and a product range of Pyrostop fire-resistance glass products for 45-, 60-, 90- and 120-minutes fire resistance. All Pyrostop and Pyrodur products are tested and listed by UL. Pyrodur 20-104 meets Category I and Pyrodur 20-200 meets Category II impact safety requirements. Pyrostop and Pyrodur can be combined with a range of other Pilkington products to meet a variety of needs, including thermal and solar control and bullet resistance. All Pyrostop and Pyrodur products are fabricated in Toledo, Ohio from stock made in Germany.
