Structural Glass System
The Pilkington Planar structural glass system can be used in glass mullion systems, tension structures, steel support structures, and canopy systems, a new brochure about the product explains. The product, which is available in the United States from W&W Glass LLC, can also be used for roof and skylight applications. All applications are warranted against delamination, leakage and seal failure when used in insulating glass units for 12 years. Early coordination with the building structure is advised, and full engineering of drift loads, seismic zone, drainage are needed for complete design integration with the building.

Glass Pack
Architectural glass products is the subject of the new brochure from Guardian Industries Corp. which contains information on its product line: Sun-Gard coated, UltraWhite low-iron, ShowerGuard, Ultra Mirror, DiamondGuard SRG, SatinDeco, and patterned glasses. The publication points out that more than 70 scientists, engineers and technicians work in the glass manufacturer’s laboratories at the Guardian Science and Technology Center in Carleton, Mich. The company also offers a computer-assisted windload and thermal stress analysis program and a Web-based product calculator to match specifications with product.

Glass Meets Architecture
Where Glass Becomes Architecture is the title of a new brochure that provides information about Oldcastle Glass, a single/one source glass supplier for high-performance architectural glass products. Available are visual design products such as Stackwall structural glass walls and Bentemp curved glass as well as high-performance products for blast mitigation and the company’s exclusive StormGlass hurricane-resistant glazing. The company supplies heat-treated glass, including tempered and heat-strengthened, and insulating glass units for commercial and residential applications. Also available are laminated glass, spandrel glass, including silk-screened, and all-glass entrance 
systems.

Balanced Doors
Excel balanced door systems are complete units, a new brochure explains. Included are the doors, jambs, all-finish hardware, thresholds, glass and glazing, frames, sidelights and transoms, manual and automatic operational controls, and AccessAbility switches and mounts. The company provides in-house engineering and CAD design.
