Basics of Code Required Design Pressures for Windows and Doors

Structural Glazing Systems: Innovations in Structural Glass

This course provides an overview of structural glazing systems, including a discussion of the evolution of structural glazing, stress and deflection, testing methods, options for support structures, and new developments in specialty structural glazing.

Glass in Today’s Architecture

This course is a study of the manufacturing process for float glass, various types and applications for the product, along with a list of benefits for architectural use. It is designed to provide a broad understanding of flat glass manufacturing, glass substrates (types) and sizes, the fabrication processes, glass performance terminology, applications, benefits and industry resources.
The performance fabrication section of the course includes detailed discussion of heat-treated glass, coated glass, laminated glass and insulating glass units as well as opaque spandrel glass and patterned glass.
The Glass Association of North America (GANA) is comprised of a number of divisions. This includes divisions in these areas: building envelope contractors, decorative glass, flat glass manufacturing, mirrors and glass tempering.

The Benefits of Building with Impact Resistant Windows and Doors in Coastal Regions

This online course provides an overview of the features of impact-resistant doors and windows and includes discussions on tropical cyclones, building code requirements, wind-load testing and comparisons of various windborne debris protection systems.
