Achieving Your LEED Strategy through Division 8: Glass & Glazing
Kawneer
Glass and glazing directly impact three major LEED categories. This session is designed to show architects how they can meet specific LEED strategies and design goals by specifying glass and glazing products and systems. The course will be presented at booth 19121 at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. www.kawneer.com

Designing and Testing Glazing Systems for Blast Loads
Vistawall Group
This program is designed to provide a better understanding of blast loading and the technology that is available to the design community. The session also will discuss the standards by which building products are tested. Attendees will gain knowledge about governing agencies, the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Defense (DOD) and their standards for blast load glazing systems. Glass composition and anchoring also will be discussed. The course will be presented at booth 18043 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. www.vistawall.com

Evaluating Performance of Fire-Rated Glass

Strategies for Labor Optimization in Division 8: Glass & Glazing
Kawneer
This program focuses on which architectural aluminum systems, methods of fabrication and glazing techniques can help to reduce labor requirements and provide savings in labor costs. The course will be presented at booth 19121 at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. and noon and 1:30 p.m. on Friday and at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday. www.kawneer.com

Strategies for Energy Optimization in Division 8: Glass & Glazing
Kawneer
A key dimension of sustainable design involves maintaining a project’s energy efficiency for years into the future. This program introduces thermal breaks and shows how thermally broken systems can help improve energy efficiency. The course will be presented at booth 19121 at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday and at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. www.kawneer.com

Water Management in Commercial Window Systems
Pella
Water leakage through the building envelope continues to be one of the major reasons for litigation involving architects.
