New Product Focus

Sustainable Design
Architectural Glass Sustainable Design is the title of a new brochure from Viracon that discusses balancing daylight and energy savings. It includes specifications for the company’s one-inch insulating glass products. For architectural glass compositions incorporating a Viracon high-performance coating on clear or low-iron glass substrates, high light to solar gain ratios can be achieved. For tinted glass combinations, the fabricator offers high-performance coatings incorporating Guardian’s CrystalGray substrate. For higher solar control properties, the company’s high-performance coatings and tinted glass substrates can be combined with silk-screen patterns. www.viracon.com

Light Controller
ControLite daylighting glazing system adjusts shading and sunlight transmission. The panels consist of proprietary translucent half-cylinder Rota-blades built into translucent light transmitting polycarbonate panels. The angle of the Rota-blades is adjustable for controlling and maintaining the desired amount of light intensity, shading and comfort level. Models are available in a range from manual operators to motorized units that track the sun automatically. www.cpidaylighting.com
