New Column to Debut

 

Have you ever wanted to know how to trim a little fat for your business? Or how about how to improve customer service? Well, now you have the ability to find the answers to these questions without paying a fee for a consultant. 

Next month AGRR magazine will premiere a new question and answer column. All you have to do is send your questions to agrr@glass.com to be answered by two industry veterans—Donovan Trana of Trana Consulting and Express! Auto Glass in Muscatine, Iowa, and Tom Hughes of The Hughes Agency Inc.

Hughes and Trana have combined to form a new marketing and management service called Clear Visions for auto glass shop owners. The company is designed to handle what it says are the three most fundamental parts of business—marketing, efficiency and legal aspects. 

While the duo says they will field questions about these issues, they would most like to field “honest questions without pretense” from glass industry professionals. 

Hughes has successfully marketed more than 100 auto body and auto glass shops since he started his company a decade ago and Trana has installed more than 50,000 auto glass parts since he opened his own facility 20 years ago and is president of the Independent Glass Association. Hughes has 20 years experience in sales, marketing, advertising and promotion. He first got into the auto glass and auto body industry in 1992, when he developed a marketing campaign that got national prominence for a local, independent shop.
