The Side Buddy Rack allows for tall and oversized windows to be carried on the outside of a vehicle. Touting it as convenient and easy to use, the company is publishing a flyer indicating that the Side Buddy Rack is constructed of heavy gauge steel and secures the cargo with tie-downs.

An Awe -Inspiring PRISM©
Glass Technology Inc., of Durango, Colo., manufacturer of machine-based windshield repair systems, has introduced new technology dubbed PRISM. Short for Pre Resin Injection Suspension Method, the system holds resin in suspension while the air is extracted out of the break. According to a company press release, the technology holds the resin in a separate side chamber away from the repair area and does not create a barrier to the extraction of air out of the break during the initial vacuum cycle.

Single Step Primer
3M Automotive Aftermarket Division has created a single step primer that, according to company literature, does not need an activator, can be used on encapsulated glass and can be used to touch up scratches on the pinchweld. Additionally, other benefits of the primer are said to be the promotion of adhesion of urethane to automotive glass and frit, promotion of adhesion to automotive paint primers and protection of urethane from ultraviolet rays.

Dow Introduces New Urethane Adhesive Cleaner
Dow Automotive Aftermarket has introduced its newest urethane adhesive cleaner, BETACLEAN U-424. U-424 features an improved removal of uncured adhesive as compared to the U-421 that it replaces. Company literature states that the newest cleaner will not harm most auto paint finishes, vinyl roof fabrics or unpainted dashboards and provides quick and easy cleanup.

It’s a Breeze with Custom Concepts
Custom Concepts of Pleasant Grove, Calif., brings to the market its Breezer window, an alternative to the sliding rear window of pick-up trucks.
The Breezer window consists of a case and frame that attach to the rear wall of a truck cab or camper and a removable glass pane. The frames come in three styles—standard, see-thru acrylic and carbon fiber. cab. For camper shells, the company offers the Boot Hook as the best connection. Once in place, the compression boot slides under the Breezer case providing a tight seal.
With the glass in place, the window opens out on a hinge to create a vent that allows for reduced airflow.
