industry insiders COMINGS AND GOINGS Prior to joining Sika in 2009, Nessau was employed for six years with Kautex Textron in Munich, Germany. Prior to Kautex, he was employed by two consulting firms, as a consultant for vehicle programs at BMW and as a consultant for residential home projects. Nessau holds a degree from in civil engineering from Munich University. In addition, Marcy Burris has joined Sika Corp. as western area sales manager, transportation A&C, reporting to Jerry Clayton, western region sales manager. She will cover the states of California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Burris has more than 20 years experience in the industry. Prior to joining Sika, she spent 14 years with Dow Automotive in technical service roles, including technical service and developmental technologist and technical service manager. Prior to Dow, she worked as a technician while completing her education. Naylor Resigns, Leads to Personnel Moves Naylor will remain with the company as a board member and as an executive officer. Keiji Yoshikawa, who had been named chief project management officer for the company during a February 2012 re-organization, has been named as Naylor’s replacement. In his capacity as president and CEO, Yoshikawa assumes overall responsibility for overseeing the profitable operations and development of the NSG Group. With the departure of Naylor, the company has announced several other personnel moves. Clemens Miller has been appointed representative executive officer, executive vice president and chief operating officer. As COO, Miller will take direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of all of the Group’s operations. Mark Lyons will continue in the role of chief financial officer but also has been appointed representative executive officer. SRP Announces New Midwest Sales Reps Schulte, president of Concorde Sales, has more than 30 years in the auto glass industry. He will cover the eastern Midwest states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin. Glass Doctor Sees Personnel Changes “I love the Glass Doctor brand and have invested a lot personally into it over the last 11 years,” says Dotson, who also authors a blog for AGRR magazine’s glassBYTEs.com™ news service. “In the end, Dwyer Group is awesome at providing a person a proven path to owning their own business …” Dotson had succeeded Michael Gai, who was promoted from vice president of operations to vice president of system accounts for Glass Doctor parent company The Dwyer Group Inc. As of press time, a replacement for Dotson had not been announced. APPOINTMENTS The new board members are Rex Altree, founder and managing member of New Image Auto Glass LLC in Tempe, Ariz.; Matt Bailey, owner and president of 20/20 Auto Glass in Spartanburg, S.C.; Jared Hoggan, owner and president of AAA Glass Inc. in Logan, Utah; and Benjamin Weaver, manager of Alderfer Glass Company in Telford, Pa. “The addition of these new directors will further diversify the outstanding talents and wide-ranging experience that our directors already bring to the association and industry,” says Alan Epley, president of the IGA. “Each is a widely respected and deeply experienced business leader, and together they will provide our board and management team with new insight and perspectives relating to the rapidly changing [auto glass repair and replacement] industry.” PERSONNEL NEWS Marino, who was featured on the show with Dwyer-Owens, has been promoted to franchise consultant for The Dwyer Group and is going to serve as the Women in the Trades program spokesperson. “I was honored to have the opportunity to go undercover as ‘Faith Brown’ and work side-by-side with our frontline team members,” says Dwyer-Owens. “I’ve received thousands of emails and communications from viewers all over the world with an overwhelmingly positive response to The Dwyer Group and our company's Code of Values. I’ll admit that I may have shed a tear or two after reading some of the responses.”
