Vellano Named Controller of Edgetech IG
Cindy Vellano has accepted the position of controller at Edgetech I.G. Inc. of Cambridge, Ohio. She will be responsible for the overall accounting functions of the manufacturing facility there and the Coventry, England, distribution office/warehouse.

Vellano has been part of the Edgetech organization for three years, servicing previously as assistant controller. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from LaRouche College in Pittsburgh, and currently is pursuing an MBA from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.

Guardian Industries Promotes Thomsen to Group Vice President
Guardian Industries Corp. of Auburn Hills, Mich., recently announced the promotion of Scott V. Thomsen to group vice president. In his new position, Thomsen will be responsible for directing research and development initiatives at the company’s science and technology center in Carleton, Mich.

He earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of North Dakota and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California.
