APPOINTMENTS
NFRC Elects New Board Members
The National Fenestration Rating Council’s (NFRC) board of directors re-elected
Tony Rygg of the California Energy Commission as its chairperson at its meeting in December 2002 at its headquarters in Silver Spring, Md.
The board also re-elected Randy Van Voorst from Quality Testing Inc. of Everett, Wash., as vice chairperson and
Roland Temple from VELUX-AMERICA Inc. of Greenwood, S.C., as treasurer. The board elected
Marvin Stover from Mikron Industries of Kent, Wash., as secretary.
The membership elected Marcia Falke, representing the Fenestration Manufacturers
Association of Apopka, Fla., to fill a vacancy, and re-elected Bill Prindle from the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy of Washington, D.C., to another term on the board.
Jim Krahn of Marvin Windows and Doors of Warroad, Minn., retired. Krahn has been appointed to a new position, NFRC ombudsman, in which he will assist in the transition to the organization’s new one-size ratings regime and other initiatives.
The board also appointed Susan Douglas as NFRC executive director, a position that replaces that of the NFRC administrator. As executive director, Douglas will be responsible for all administrative aspects of NFRC and will serve as the staff liaison to the board of directors.
