MANAGEMENT
New Leadership at ADCO Products 
ADCO Products Inc. of Michigan Center, Mich., has announced that Jim Turner, who previously served the company as chief operating officer (COO), has been named as president of ADCO. 

Brian Mikels has taken over the role as COO. He has been with ADCO for 11 years, serving as vice president and general manager of the Indiana facility for the past five years.

New Positions at Novatech Glass Group 
Novatech Glass Group of Calgery, Alberta, has recently undergone changes in personnel. Paul Scott is now in charge of sales in Western Canada and manages the Calgary distribution center, in addition to serving as manager of sales for the Western United States.

Scott brings 14 years of experience in the industry to the job, including 12 years with the Bay Mills Group, BayLite and BayForm. 

Jim Parker has taken a new role with the company, which involves working on special projects until his retirement in February. Parker opened the Calgary distribution center in 1998, and plans to continue to work part-time as a consultant for Novatech. He will also continue to serve on the Win-door show committee.

Clay Cox has taken over the responsibility for customer service for both the Calgary and Houston distribution centers. He has been with the company for four years and also will function in a part-time sales capacity. 

PROMOTIONS
Seymour Named President of Taylor Building Products
The West Branch, Mich.–based Taylor Building Products has a new president and chief executive officer, Thomas Seymour. Seymour has served the company as executive vice president, leading sales and marketing efforts for the last four years. He will continue to head these departments in his new role. 

“Tom Seymour has led our company through a period of solid growth, with extraordinary leadership, and has increased our focus on meeting the service demands of our prime customers, the garage door distributor and entry door pre-hanger,” said Nick Cangialosi, owner and chairperson of the company. 

Since he took the responsibility of sales and marketing in late 2000, the company has grown profitably at the rate of more than 10 percent annually, said Cangialosi. 

Prior to joining Taylor Building Products, Seymour served in various marketing and business management positions with Owens Corning over a period of 28 years. 

Republic Makes Numerous Changes
Republic Windows & Doors of Chicago has announced that Amy Zimmerman has been promoted from director of marketing to vice president of marketing. She is the first female vice president at the company and reports directly to Republic chief operating officer Les Teichner.

Zimmerman has worked in public relations and marketing for 18 years, and has been with Republic since 1992. 

The company has promoted Jane Longo to senior director of supply chain management. Longo, who will report to Teichner, has been with Republic for three and a half years as director of supply chain management. 

Robert Benes, former key account manager for the company, has been promoted to regional sales director. He has served the company for 17 years. 

Republic has also announced the addition of new team members. Jeff Wandell joins the company after working eight years in the industry. Mary Bloomquist has been hired as the direct sales representative to Northwest Indiana and Chicago South territories. 

The company also has hired Michael Krejci as a new sales representative. Before Republic, he worked for companies such as MI Windows and Doors, Bekaert Corp. and Conco Paint Co. 

Also joining the team as an account manager is Mike Smith. He brings nine years of experience in the window industry to the new position.

NEW HIRES
New President and CEO for Focus 
A new president and chief executive officer of Focus Doors and Windows has been appointed by the company’s board of directors. Robert Doyton joins the team with more than 20 years experience in general management, mergers and acquisitions, operations, business development and sales and marketing. He has held senior positions for Americ Disc, the Molson Breweries, Diversey Corp., Cari-All Products Inc. and other companies. Doyton will also be a new investor in the company.

Focus Doors and Windows is headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec, and is composed of five manufacturing plants and a wide distribution network under the name Laflamme, Solarcan and Unicel Architectural. It employs 600 people in Canada and a large group of installers, agents and distributors. 

New Brand Manager Named for Crestline Windows and Doors
Crestline® Windows and Doors of Mosinne, Wis., recently named Jeffrey Orme as the company’s brand manager. Orme will call upon his 15 years of experience in the fenestration industry to plan and execute Crestline’s marketing plan, according to the company. He will also assist in new product development and introductions, support special customer requests and develop customer support tools. 

“Jeff has an incredibly well-rounded background in sales, marketing and operations with regional window and door dealers and distributors that will certainly help extend Crestline to new markets and new customers,” said Bob Eckert, director of marketing. 

Prior to joining the Crestline team, Orme was an executive analyst with the international consulting firm George S. May International. 

Simonton Hires Ridge as Product Manager
Simonton Windows, based in Parkersburg, W.Va., has hired Andrea Ridge as product manager to coordinate marketing functions for the Simonton Impressions® program on the West Coast. Based at the company’s facility in Vacaville, Calif., Ridge will manage all marketing areas related to the design, manufacturing, distribution and promotion of the replacement wind and door line.

Ridge joins Simonton after more than four years with The Home Depot Supply, a division of The Home Depot. She speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese and has worked with several U.S. companies doing business in Latin America. Ridge has an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a BA from the State University of New York at Albany. She now resides in Sacramento, Calif., with her husband and daughter.
