SPACERS
Intercept® ULTRA Matches
Thermal Efficiency of Foam Spacers

In recent independent testing conducted by Architectural Testing Inc. (ATI), a vinyl window using the Intercept® ULTRA spacer, developed by GED Integrated Solutions of Twinsburg, Ohio, made with stainless alloy was proven to match the thermal efficiency of a window made with a foam spacer.

ATI performed both simulation modeling and physical testing in accordance with AAMA 1503-98. Both windows registered a U-factor of 0.27 and a condensation resistance factor of 76.

Intercept ULTRA is made with a custom-engineered stainless alloy designed to work with the Intercept i-3 manufacturing process. This process has delivered production increases as high as 50 percent for Intercept producers, according to GED Integrated Solutions.

COATINGS
SHER-NAR™ Coatings Protect Metal Building Products

New from Sherwin-Williams Chemical Coatings of Cleveland is SHER-NAR™ Coil and Extrusion Coatings, engineered to extend the longevity, integrity and beauty of exterior metal building products such as aluminum doors and windows.
