Two new books, Doors of the World and its companion Windows of the World, offer hundreds of rich photographs of doors and windows from around the world. Drawing on their extensive travels and years of research conducting site analyses of the chromatic palettes of villages and cities worldwide, authors Jean-Phillippe and Dominique Lenclos show how the diverse proportions, designs, materials and colors of entryways and windows reflect the geography, traditions and cultures of local habitats.
