Bentley Sales and Marketing Hires New Regional Manager
Bentley Sales and Marketing, a manufacturer’s representative group in Stokesdale, N.C., has hired Jamison S. Eige as regional manager for Florida.

Jamison brings 15 years of experience in the building material industry and has worked for Georgia-Pacific and King Sash and Door. Most recently, he served as district manager of Florida for the Peachtree Cos. representing Vetter Windows and Peachtree Doors and Windows. 

Urich Joins Keystone
Steve Urich, professional engineer (PE), has joined Keystone Certifications in Etters, Pa., as its certification program administrator. Urich was formerly code coordinator for MI Windows & Doors, following more than ten years experience as a project manager with Architectural Testing. He is licensed as a PE in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Texas and Alabama.

Biesse America Names Weil Marketing Communications Manager
Biesse America, a provider of woodworking, glass and stone systems based in Charlotte, N.C., has named Marty Weil as its North American marketing communications manager. The company says Weil’s responsibilities will include the coordination of its internal and external marketing communications strategy and facilitation of public relations programs that will identify and build support for the company brand. He also will serve as the primary resource of information for the trade and business media.

Weil has 20 years of marketing communications strategic planning and management experience. Most recently he served as the president of Weil Marketing Communications (WMC) Inc., a full-service marketing communications agency, where he managed all aspects of the firm’s activities in the development and execution of corporate communications strategies. He is a graduate of Illinois State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Changes for Amesbury Group’s Engineering Department 
The Door Hardware division of the Amesbury Group in Sioux Falls, S.D., has hired Greg Morehouse as its design/project engineer. He is responsible for working on next generation hardware for the company.

Lisa Budde has been promoted to quality engineer for the door hardware division of the Amesbury Group. She is responsible for coordination of ISO and OSHA documentation and quality compliance.

Industrial Sales Corp. Hires Tom Miner
Tom Miner has joined Industrial Sales Corp. of Westport, Conn., as a sales representative covering Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Miner will represent companies such as General Electric Silicones, Merchants Fasteners, Allmetal, Roto Hardware Systems and others. 

Bob Kushner Joins PTC
PTC LLC, an engineering firm in Rockledge, Fla., has added Bob Kushner to its staff as director of product development. With 38 years of experience, he most recently served as systems design manager for the new business development department for Deceuninck North America. 

PROMOTIONS 
Friedman Corp. Promotes Mark Thompson to President 
Mark Thompson, a member of Deerfield, Ill.-based Friedman Corp.’s leadership team since 1995, has been promoted to president from vice president of operations.

Thompson will lead the management and strategic direction of the firm. He previously served as Friedman’s chief financial officer.

“Mark’s leadership and direction have been a tremendous asset to Friedman,” says Mark Miller, chief operating officer of Constellation Software Inc., Friedman’s parent company, and chief executive officer of Friedman Corp. “We fully expect that to continue in the future as he ensures Friedman is well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities to continue our growth path.”

Prior to joining Friedman, Thompson was with System Software Associates and I.T.T. Corp. and also was internal audit manager for Chrysler Corp.. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Arizona, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He and his family reside in Highland Park, Ill.
