Woodgrain Provides Sashes and Frames in Three Different Woods
Among Woodgrain’s options for its sash products are those that they can be treated with Kop, a wood-treat preservative, have precision endwork, are drilled and routed for hardware, include weatherstrip applications and priming.
The company’s frames include the same options as available on its sashes, along with optional PVC blind stops and brickmolds.
Company officials say the company ships more than ten trucks of finished window parts per week throughout the country, and currently has lead times of five weeks from purchase order to delivery. Woodgrain also provides patio door rails and stiles, assembled Atrium patio doors, mouldings and interior pine doors. www.woodgrain.com
“There is a lot of interest in using an alternative material to wood that is not susceptible to moisture, rot, mildew or insect damage,” says Jeff Franson, product development and engineering manager. “We can design MikronWood profiles to specific requirements to replace sills, jambs and sash parts—any areas that are moisture-prone.” www.mikronvinyl.com
“Other systems simply cannot be stained to match, leaving the homeowner with a beautiful stained wood door and an uncoordinated frame—a big problem when it comes to maximizing curb appeal,” says Elizabeth Souders, product marketing manager for JELD-WEN. “Because it’s real wood, AuraLast door frames solve that aesthetic issue. Additionally, when paired with an AuraLast door, the complete system offers thorough protection against decay and termites.”
In addition to doorframes, JELD-WEN also offers wood doors and windows made with AuraLast wood. www.jeld-wen.com
