Products That Pay
A Preview of GlassBuild America Exhibitors’ Products

Henry Ford once said, “It is not the employer who pays the wages. He only handles the money. It is the product that pays the wages.” With Ford’s quote in mind?manufacturers, retailers, dealers and distributors of flat glass, residential doors and windows, in addition to contract glaziers, architects, specifiers and builders will not want to miss out on this year’s GlassBuild America (GBA), September 12-14, in Las Vegas.

Here are some of the products that will be on display at this year’s show, and if you are a type of business described above, you should heed Ford’s advice and locate products at GBA to set your business ahead of your competition.

Booth #1345 Meet Demands with New Seal
Ultrafab Inc. is debuting a new extruded weather sealing option that has been designed to meet or exceed the performance requirements for demanding applications, the company says.

Ultrafab adds that today’s door and window designs demand a competitively priced seal with low closing forces and long-term resiliency that will provide protection against short- and long term air and water infiltration, and this product fits the bill.

The multi-hollow bulb (MHB) seal line offers both the low closing force of a hollow bulb seal and the long-term resiliency of a foam-filled seal, according to the company. The new MHB seal line offers a price point between traditional hollow bulb seals and foam-filled seals.

The strategic placement of a “bulb inside a bulb” creates a multi-chambered structure when the bulb is in a compressed state (see photo). The three chambers that are created make for improved thermal and sound abatement properties over standard hollow bulb seals, the company adds.
