Home to the Alamo: San Antonio
Hosts This Year’s NSDJA Convention

by George & Emily Lorenz

We invite you to join us October 12-16 in San Antonio to celebrate ¡Millwork Ole! What a great city to host our 39th National Sash & Door Jobbers Association (NSDJA) Annual Convention. Enjoy the famous River Walk, the Alamo and all of San Antonio’s rich history and culture. And, of course, don’t forget to sample the outstanding restaurants and unique shopping all within walking
distance of our hotel and convention center.

•The NSDJA convention will feature more than 170 exhibitors occupying 172,000 square feet of meeting space. Visit our website for a list of exhibitors:

•The opening general session will get us off to a strong start with Dr. Barry Asmus, a senior economist at the National Center for Policy Analysis. You won’t want to miss his enthusiastic and humorous presentation on the economy, the future, globalization and public policy.

•Our general sessions will be presented by NSDJA members speaking on subjects that attendees can take back and implement in their businesses. Topics include warehouse management, entry-door standards, sales planning, stair codes and purchasing.

•A “5K Run & Fun Walk” to raise funds for a local charity, in memory of Sandy Lavitt, is scheduled for Sunday morning.

•The closing night’s entertainment will be an incredible outdoor fiesta. The La Villita Celebration will bring together all the rich history and traditions of San Antonio under the stars with a party you will long remember. The evening will include singers and Mariachi bands, and the group “Asleep at the Wheel” will present Texas Swing for you light-footed dancers.

San Antonio has the well-earned reputation of being a wonderful convention city. Our planning committee experienced first hand the warm hospitality you can expect when you attend the 2002 NSDJA Convention, ¡Millwork Ole!
