APPOINTMENTS
Amesbury Appoints New Marketing Coordinator
The Amesbury Group has appointed Amber Grayson as the marketing coordinator in the Sioux Falls, S.D., facility.

As coordinator, Grayson will play a major role in providing marketing/sales communication, developing representation and customer support programs, among other duties.

Grayson brings more than 6 years of sales and marketing experience to the team, having held similar positions in manufacturing and service-related companies.

The company has also recently named Tim Quarry to the position of West Coast sales manager for the Amesbury Group-Reno and Wayne Steinhauer to the position of general manager for BSI-Balance Systems. 
Quarry will be responsible for sales on the West Coast for all eight divisions of the Amesbury Group. Steinhauer’s responsibilities will include the balance manufacturing at several Amesbury Group facilities, including Sioux Falls, S.D., Statesville, N.C., Reno, Nev., and Brampton, Ontario. 

Saint-Gobain Corporation Names Sweeney Vice President and Treasurer
John Sweeney has been named vice president and treasurer by Saint-Gobain Corp. He was previously the company’s vice president of pension and benefits investments.

In his new position, Sweeney will be responsible for the company’s treasury function, which includes cash and debt management. He will also work closely with Saint-Gobain’s treasury organization in Paris. Sweeney will continue to be responsible for the company’s pension trust management and various administrative activities dealing with pension benefits, deferred compensation plans and 401K savings plans.

In 1982, Sweeney joined CertainTeed Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, as a senior internal auditor, and since then has held various management positions, including assistant treasurer, in the company’s finance organization.

Hankins is New President of Windsor Mill
John Hankins has been named the new president of Windsor Mill of Windsor, Calif.

Hankins, who has served as Windsor Mill’s vice president of manufacturing for the past six years, will 
oversee all three Windsor Mill plants in Windsor, Willits, Calif. and Chile. 

Prior to joining Windsor Mill in 1998, Hankins held various operation and management positions at Anderson Hardwood Floors of Clinton S.C., Mannington Wood Floors of High Point, N.C., Stimson Lumber Co. of Forest Grove, Ore., Pope & Talbot, Inc. of Port Gamble, Wash. and Simpson Timber Co. of Korbel, Calif.

Gorell Gets New Sales Manager
Gorell Windows & Doors of Indiana, Pa., has named two new regional sales managers. Bruce Shipman is responsible for Missouri, Southern Illinois, Eastern Kansas and parts of Nebraska and Iowa, and Brian Seyer is responsible for the Tennessee and Kentucky sales area, along with parts of West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana. In their roles as sales managers, Shipman and Seyer will establish dealers to market Gorell’s vinyl windows and doors, patio doors and aluminum storm products, as well as provide training and sales support to existing dealers. 

Shipman has more than 15 years experience in the building products industry.

Simonton Adds to Company
Simonton Windows of Parkersburg, W.Va., has promoted Greg Irving to the position of vice president of sales for the company. Irving previously held the Norandex national account manager position and will now contribute his management skills in leading the national sales efforts of the company.

The company has also recently promoted Paul Ostrowski to fill Irving’s shoes on the Norandex account. Ostrowski previously held the positions of central regional sales manager and national accounts manager for Simonton.

Simonton has also hired Mark DeSimone as a brand manager in its marketing department. DeSimone joins the company with 13 years of marketing experience in related building prouct industry companies.
