Mississippi Builder Elected President of NAHB
Pledging to expand opportunities for America’s working families, Mississippi builder Bobby Rayburn was elected as 2004 president of the 220,000-member National Association of Home Builders during the association’s 60th annual International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.

Rayburn, president of Rayburn and Associates in Jackson, Miss., has built more than 3,000 homes and apartments throughout Mississippi during his 30-year career in home building. He is past president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Hattiesburg and of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi. He was named builder of the year by the Hattiesburg Home Builders Association in 1979.

Kara Homes Names New Director of Human Resources
Robert C. Kessler was appointed director of human resources by Kara Homes Inc., an East Brunswick, N.J., building firm. 

Prior to joining the company, Kessler was the human resources director of Builders First Source, director of human resources at Horowitz/Rae Book Manufacturers, and self employed as a business consultant.

Hitt Contracting Hires Senior Project Manager
Robert L. Fauteux has joinedHitt Contracting, with officesin Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Charleston, S.C., and Baltimore. He has more than 28 years of experience in the construction industry, including estimating, base building, interiors and the architectural millwork trade.

Tucker Joins Simonton Windows®
Simonton Windows of Parkersburg, W.Va., has named Beth Tucker to the position of marketing communications manager. Tucker joined Simon-ton’s marketing department in October 2003 after serving as account executive at Moroch Leo Burnett in Parkersburg.

In her new position, Tucker will provide planning and strategic support for the public relations, advertising, displays and merchandising programs at the company. She also will assist in directing several marketing function areas, including cooperative advertising, collateral materials development and corporate brand positioning.
