Gardner Brings Experience as WoodWare’s Director of Training & Consulting
WoodWare Systems of Memphis, Tenn., announces that Mike Gardner has joined the company as its new director of training and consulting. Gardner will manage the training staff in working with new customer software implementations of the WoodWare System as well as other WoodWare products. 

Gardner’s millwork experience dates back to 1984. He previously worked for millwork distributor Goshen Sash & Door Co. in Indiana, where he held a variety of positions including chief executive officer. While at Goshen, he led the implementation of the WoodWare System as the company’s primary business software, and also actively integrated new technologies like barcode scanning, electronic catalogs and more into the company’s millwork operations. 

Gardner has also served on the board of directors of the Association of Millwork Distributors (AMD) and was chairperson of AMD’s education committee. 

“We are very excited that Mike has joined the WoodWare team,” said Nick Carter, WoodWare president. “His millwork expertise can help current and future WoodWare users identify best practices while using the WoodWare System, and train them on how those practices can add profits for their company.”

Lumbermens Names New VP of Marketing
Lumbermens, a 58-store chain of retail building material centers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona and California, has announced that Darin P. Hildreth has joined Lumbermens as vice president of marketing. Hildreth will focus on leading strategic purchasing, merchandising and marketing efforts to store operations.

Hildreth spent the past four years with the North Carolina-based Stock Building Supply where he served as corporate senior product manager. Hildreth’s 13-year tenure at R.P. Lumber Co. precluded his four years at Stock Lumber where he held several corporate management positions. 

Hildreth attended St. Louis University and is a recent graduate of the executive development program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Hildreth and his family will relocate to the Olympia, Wash., area.

Epoch® Composite Products Hires New Territory Manager
Epoch Composite Products Inc. of Lamar, Mo., has announced the hiring of Kevin Trippie to the position of East Central region territory manager. He will manage Epoch decking and railing sales in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Prior to his employment with Epoch, Trippie worked for Illinois Tool Works (ITW), Paslode and Benjamin Moore Paints. He has more than 11 years of experience in construction product sales. Additionally, he has extensive experience working closely with builders, contractors and the design community, as well as managing single- and two-step distribution in a variety of building material markets along the East Coast. 

Trippie graduated from Appalachian State University with a major in business management and a minor in Spanish. He will continue to reside in Charlotte, N.C. 

Nesselrode Added to Simonton Marketing Team
Simonton Windows® of Parkersburg, W.Va., has hired Carrie Nesselrode as director of promotions. In her new role, Nesselrode is responsible for overseeing the promotions and public relations activities for the company, including the coordination of logistics for major trade shows, supporting new product introductions and overseeing the company’s Nitpickers™ program. In addition, she will plan, develop and execute all of the electronic communications activities for Simonton, execute special promotions for customers and support the company’s coastal products initiative. 

Nesselrode most recently served as the corporate marketing manager for Specialty Building Resources, a sales division for Hy-Lite® Products and Fypon®, sister companies of Simonton Windows. During her time with Specialty Building Resources, she worked on many joint projects with Simonton, including the company’s successful first-year participation in the 2005 International Builders’ Show in January. 

“We’re pleased to have someone with Carrie’s expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge join our Simonton marketing team,” said vice president of marketing Chris Monroe. “Our promotional activities are increasing dramatically as we launch new products and programs. Carrie’s own organizational skills and talents are perfectly matched to support Simonton’s continued growth in the future.”

A graduate of Marshall University, Nesselrode resides in Parkersburg, W.Va., with her husband and children.
