by Samantha Carpenter
The Association of Millwork Distributors’ Annual Convention is always known for its networking opportunities and fun-filled atmosphere. At the 42nd Annual Convention, “Back in the Saddle with AMD,” at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, October 14-19, 2006, attendees are sure to view top-notch presentations and educational seminars as well as the latest products in the millwork industry.
This year’s opening session keynote speaker is Oliver North. In his presentation, “America in the New Millennium,” North will draw on his experience as a United States Marine and his tenure as a staff member of the National Security Council during the Reagan administration. North will assess the United States’ role in the world – militarily, economically and politically. He will identify the policies that have made America the world’s only remaining superpower and outline the strategies necessary to keep America at the forefront as a world power.
The awards breakfast presentation will be given by Afterburners, fighter pilots who teach the techniques of Flawless Execution™ and peak performance to sales teams and top executives of the world’s foremost corporations (Fortune 500 companies).
This program provides a high-energy multimedia presentation about how fighter pilots operate in a combat environment and how to apply those lessons to business. Rare cockpit footage and cutting-edge computer graphics make a presentation you will never forget.
