Fill ‘Er Up for Free
Allied Building Products Corp. recently announced the launch of its “AlliedBuilding.com Free Gas Giveaway,” in which five winners will receive free gas for one year.

The East Rutherford, N.J.-based distributor of residential and commercial building products says the contest is limited to construction industry professionals 18 years of age and older.

“Allied understands that rising gas prices continue to put a strain on businesses nationwide,” says Tim Williams, director of sales and marketing. “As a result, we wanted to put together a fun promotion that can help alleviate some of that strain while driving our new and existing customers to AlliedBuilding.com to view some of its beneficial features.”

The promotion began on November 1, 2007, and will run through January 11, 2008. A Quick Selling Incentive
The current federal tax credit program available to homeowners who make energy-efficient upgrades only runs until the end of the year. The federal tax credit offered for replacing exterior windows, purchased and installed by year’s end, is 10 percent of the product cost, up to $200. The credit for exterior doors is 10 percent of the product cost, up to $500. The maximum amount of homeowner credit for all improvements combined is $500 during the two-year period that this program has been available. The program ends December 31, 2007. www.irs.gov

JELD-WEN Wants to be Scared
If you sell JELD-WEN products, then be sure your customers know about the company’s “Scariest Utility Bill Window and Door Replacement Contest 2007.” This contest is open and offered to all homeowners within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
