Truth Says Hammond is a Match
Jim Hammond has been appointed to the position of territory account manager for the Northeast United States for Truth Hardware. The Owatonna, Minn.-based company says Hammond will work closely with door and window manufacturers to assist the development and purchase of hardware systems used on their products. He also will work collaboratively with commercial architects, helping them specify hardware systems that will meet particular markets needs.

Truth says Hammond’s more than 17 years of experience in sales and marketing, including extensive involvement within the fenestration industry, and his strong level of customer service and account management skills parallel the company’s customer care commitment values.

ABC Promotes 14
ABC Supply Co. Inc. in Beloit, Wis., has promoted 14 branch managers from various parts of the country to managing partners. They include: Larry Brush of Newport News, Va.; Jim Crew of Atlanta; Kurt Dismukes of Fayetteville, N.C.; Steve Felgate of Austin, Texas; David Kendziora of Webster, Texas; Cory McClung of Savannah, Ga.; Darin Richardson of Murray, Utah; Tom Ruffen of Manchester, N.H.; Steve Sapp of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Chris Schrage of West Allis, Wis.; Ronnie Sebree of Midland, Texas; Ed Turner of Swannanoa, N.C.; R. A. “Bob” Vidal of Santa Maria, Calif., and Pablo Wilckens of Hartland, Wis.

The 14 new managing partners will continue to oversee their respective branches and will take on additional responsibilities. They will become members of the company’s National Branch Advisory Board, which advises senior management on a wide range of topics, including strategic initiatives, branch expansion, product development, technology, branch operation and company policy.

To be selected, each had to meet the compnay’s criteria in the areas of: customer satisfaction, associate development, improvement in branch performance, safety compliance and excellence in overall business practices.

The company also is celebrating its 25th anniversary currently.

EFCO CEO Leaves Company as Sale to Pella is Finalized
According to a representative within Monett, Mo.-based EFCO Corp., Chris Fuldner, chief executive officer of EFCO, has retired from the company. 

No details would be released as to when or why Fuldner decided to leave the company.

This announcement comes on the heels that Pella Corp. had purchased the commercial framing systems supplier. The business will be known as EFCO, a Pella Company. Following the sale on August 28, EFCO will continue to produce EFCO-brand building products in Monett, Mo. Terms of the sale have not been disclosed.

As the business transitions to new ownership, EFCO-brand windows, curtainwall, storefronts and entry systems designed for commercial construction needs will continue to be sold through independent representatives across the United States.

Snavely Picks Up Melocco
Pittsburgh-based Snavely Forest Products has added Jared Melocco to the sales and distribution division of its Denver division.

Melocco most recently served as a regional sales representative for the Trex Co. and will now serve as product manager, composites, for Snavely. 

Who’s Where?
Parkersburg, W.Va.-based Simonton Windows has named Robert Jacobs vice president of human resources. Jacobs is responsible for managing and directing all areas of the human resources function for the national door and window manufacturer. The company also recently named Sid Spear vice president of sales. Spear will manage and direct all aspects of the sales function at Simonton, including field sales, national accounts and sales administration … Sierra Door in Scottsdale, Ariz., recently announced the promotion of Richard Wallis to the position of president. Wallis previously served as vice president of operations and has been with the company since 1999 … Frederick J. Lynch, the president of Masonite International Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, has assumed the additional title of chief executive officer (CEO). Kenneth W. Freeman will continue as chairman of Masonite, a manufacturer of residential and commercial doors … Atrium Companies Inc., a manufacturer of vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors in Dallas, has elected Greg Faherty, the company’s president and CEO, to join its board of directors.
