Companies Form Partnerships and Receive Awards for Products

PALRAM Americas Partners with Trex
PALRAM Americas, a manufacturer of corrugated polycarbonate products, has agreed to supply cellular PVC trimboard to the Trex Co. Trex will market and sell the product under its Trex Trim™ brand of low-maintenance, wood replacement products for window/door surrounds, deck trim, soffitt, fascia and other trim applications. 

The partnership comes just months after PALRAM Americas opened a new 92,000-square-foot production facility to expand the company’s PVC production capabilities. Manufacturing of the product takes place at the company’s North American headquarters in eastern Pennsylvania. 

“This agreement allows PALRAM to focus on its core competency as a manufacturer of thermoplastic sheeting, while supporting Trex in its efforts to grow its business through new products offered through the company’s strong distribution network and marketed under the trusted Trex brand,” says Michael Howser, general manager, PALRAM Americas Inc.

AERT’s Chinese Partner Receives Innovation Award
AERT Inc. of Springdale, Ark., recently announced that its new partner in China, Zhengte Ltd., received the Award for Innovation at this year’s International Exhibition on Housing in Beijing. The company says this exhibition is the Chinese equivalent of the International Homebuilders’ Show in the United States and is the premier Chinese event for the building products industry. Zhengte’s winning display featured AERT’s MoistureShield® decking products. The inscription on the award is translated as, “Zhengte Ltd. is rewarded for new technology and recognized for important innovation which the Chinese Construction of Culture Association, Chinese Real Estate Association, and Chinese Construction Department for Residential Association will highly promote.” 

Commenting on the award, AERT senior vice president Jim Precht notes, “This award signifies the acceptance of our environment-friendly MoistureShield® product line by building industry leaders in the Chinese market. Our relationship with Zhengte, though relatively new, has catapulted AERT to the forefront of the exploding green building products market in China.” 

Zhengte’s general manager Chen Yonghui points out, “The Chinese government is beginning to focus on environmental protection … MoistureShield® is the most environment-friendly and durable product we’ve encountered and we believe the market for MoistureShield® in China is huge.” Chen also says the Chinese government is mandating the use of environmentally-friendly products and building materials for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, noting that this will create even more demand for MoistureShield®.  www.aertinc.com
