Pro-Build Names Plaza Vice President, Total Rewards
Pro-Build Holdings Inc. has promoted Susan Plaza to the position of vice president, total rewards. In this new role, Plaza will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and implementation of Pro-Build’s compensation and benefits programs as well as the underlying technology systems supporting them. 

Plaza joined the Strober Organization, a predecessor company to Pro-Build, in November 1986 as personnel director, responsible for the development and implementation of Strober’s human resources programs. She was appointed vice president, human resources for Strober in January of 2002, and vice president, compensation and benefits for Pro-Build in 2006. Plaza has more than 26 years of experience in providing support and leadership in all aspects of the human resources function. 

Plaza and her family plan to relocate to the Denver area.

Visador Announces Operational Leaders for Subsidiaries
Visador Holding Corp. recently announced management team changes in three of its companies: Coffman Stairs, Crown Column & Millwork and VBP Limited.

Joe Livengood has been named vice president and general manager of Crown Column & Millwork. Livengood has more than 20 years of operational, product development and millwork manufacturing experience in leading Crown Column & Millwork. He helped found Crown Column & Millwork in an operational capacity after having led the development of fiberglass columns. He will lead Crown Column & Millwork’s new product development, operational cost savings and marketing strategy. He has a master’s degree from West Virginia University.

Lory Mayne has been appointed to national sales manager. Being part of the early days of the company, Mayne utilized her architectural background to help shape its product and service offerings into what they are today. Her 20-plus years of industry experience stems from time spent as an architectural sales manager, and seven years at Crown developing the sales and service functions. She currently is responsible for growing existing sales, as well as developing new sales relationships. She attended Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, Ala.

Gene Minton has been named operations manager. Minton has more than 24 years of manufacturing experience and is now in charge of process improvement, strategic plant production initiatives and overall cost improvements for the company. He has an associate’s degree in business administration from Gadsden State and attended the University of Alabama for industrial management.

Kevin Rhodes has been appointed controller. Rhodes currently oversees financial reporting, inventory control, purchasing and budget projections for the company. Most recently with a national distributor, he oversaw a wide range of accounting, purchasing and production reporting aspects during its explosive growth. He has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

David Wynne has been named vice president, market development of Coffman Stairs.

Wynne will be responsible for new customer development, product creation and go-to-market strategies. Holding previous positions in the stair manufacturing industry, Wynne recently returned to Coffman Stairs where he was the vice president of sales and marketing from 1995 to 2005. He has an associate’s degree in business administration from Johnson & Wales Junior College in Providence, R.I.

Jack McCarty has been named director, operations for Coffman Stairs. For the past 20 plus years, McCarty has been involved in nearly all aspects of millwork manufacturing. Spending nearly 17 years at a national cabinet manufacturer as production manager, he helped implement various lean manufacturing processes. He is now responsible for the operational aspects and coordination of the company’s production and warehouse facilities. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Wake Forest University.

Ron Cassell has been named controller. A seasoned executive and CPA with nearly 30 years of inventory control, finance and cost management expertise, Cassell is now in charge of controlling costs and inventory for Coffman Stairs. Cassell has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Richmond.

Robin Liu has been named managing director of VBP Limited.

Liu leads VBP with nearly 20 years international marketing and sales experience, and is fluent in business dealings throughout mainland China, Hong Kong and the United States. He is now assigned with the acquisition of Visador-related products sourced throughout Asia. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Hunan University in Hunan, China, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.

Barnes New Vice President of Sales at Fypon
Fypon Ltd. recently promoted Rob Barnes to vice president of sales. The Archbold, Ohio-based synthetic millwork company says Barnes will be responsible for its nationwide sales team and for growing the distribution of the company’s polyurethane and PVC product lines.

Barnes started with Fypon in 2004 after owning his own remodeling company for seven years. He is a Florida State Certified Building Contractor, holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and is a native of Jacksonville, Fla. He and his family will relocate to be near Fypon’s headquarters in Ohio. 

Sakrete Sales and Product Management Team Expands
Bonsal American Inc., headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., has expanded its sales and product management team for Sakrete®, a dry bagged cement mix brand.

Bob Schmidt, who will serve as product manager for Sakrete, has been with Bonsal American for more than 26 years. During his tenure, he has served in various roles including manager of Flo-Ash Services, director of technical services and most recently, manufacturing manager. Bob has a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute.

Wes Murphy has been named Midwest territory sales manager for Sakrete, covering Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. For the past three years, Murphy served as territory sales manager for the Lowe’s team as part of Oldcastle APG, Bonsal American’s parent company. Murphy also served in the Airborne Infantry for the United States Army. 

Shea Anstine has joined Bonsal American as a territory sales manager responsible for growing the Sakrete brand in Michigan and northwestern Ohio. Prior to joining Bonsal American, Anstine worked for Oldcastle 4-D Inc. Anstine also served in the U.S. Air Force.

Dean Greene has been named territory sales manager, responsible for driving Sakrete sales in Georgia, Southern Alabama and the Florida panhandle. Greene previously worked for Oldcastle Retail.
