G-U Hardware Makes Personnel Changes

G-U Hardware, a Newport News, Va.-based division of the Gretsch-Unitas Group, promoted John J. Imbriale recently to the position of administration manager for G-U Hardware USA. In his new position, Imbriale will coordinate materials management, logistics, information technology, technical services and customer support.Over his 12-year career with G-U Hardware, company officials say Imbriale has served as materials and purchasing manager, technical services manager and customer service manager. 

The company also recently added Kevin O’Connor as national sales manager. With 27 years of fenestration sales and marketing leadership and experience, O’Connor will be responsible for directing the efforts of the company’s technical sales staff, as well as the independent manufacturers’ representatives. His initial focus will be on introducing a number of new products. 

ABC Supply Promotes Maldonado
ABC Supply Co. Inc. has promoted Bert W. Maldonado to regional fleet specialist for the company’s Southeast region. ABC Supply is a distributor of roofing, siding, windows and other select exterior building products.

A native of Bakersfield, Calif., and current resident of Cary, N.C., Maldonado is responsible for all of the 67-branch region’s vehicles and vehicle-related equipment. He also manages the company’s Customer Service Delivery System program in the region. He is based in ABC Supply’s regional office in Raleigh. 

Maldonado most recently served as delivery service manager at ABC Supply’s Pensacola, Fla., store. He joined ABC Supply in 2005 as a delivery driver for the Pensacola branch.

Previously, Maldonado was a long-haul and local delivery driver for a variety of companies. He has held a commercial driver’s license for 14 years and has multiple endorsements.

Rutan to Lead Sales, Marketing Efforts

Roger Rutan recently expanded his job description with Timber Products Co. Rutan is the company’s new vice president, sales and marketing. Rutan joined Timber Products 12 years ago and previously served as vice president, marketing and business development. He has been the company’s main liaison on many environmental initiatives, ranging from forestlands, certification programs, product development and customer education. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s sales force in addition to marketing.

Rutan holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and is active in a number of wood products industry associations. He is on the board of directors of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association and is involved with the American Forest and Paper Association’s Green Building Coalition. He also serves on the board of the California Forest Products Commission and on the LEED Wood Sub-TAG. He is a frequent speaker on green building and wood certification programs. In the past, he has served as the chairman of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Marketing Committee.  

PALRAM Hires Morris

Mike Morris has joined PALRAM Americas, a Lehigh, Pa.-based manufacturer of polycarbonate and PVC sheets, as its new trimboard product manager at the company’s Kutztown, Pa., facility. Morris’s duties include working with a distributor sales team to increase market share and maintain customer relationships, working with distribution partners, such as Trex and Berger Building Products, to develop new products and markets, and generating sales leads for distribution partners.Morris was on active duty in the Marine Corps for five years and he has seven years of experience in the building products industry. Previous positions include area sales leader at Quality Supply and corporate sales manager at Appleby Windows.
