Essex ARG of Dayton, OH, has named Phil Jentoft eastern sales manager. Jentoft, who arrived at Essex from Frank J. Martin Company in Seattle, WA, will be responsible for all aftermarket automotive replacement sales management and related activities east of the Mississippi river.
The Canadian Window and Door Manufacturers Association (CWDMA) recently elected new officers and board members at its 31st annual meeting in St Johns, Newfoundland. The organization elected Dave Murray of Premdor Inc., Mississauga, ON, president; Paul Deveau of Kohler International Ltd., Debert, NS, first vice-president; Pierre GrandMaison, Thermoplast Inc., Laval, PQ, second vice-president; and Tom Duffy, Dashwood Industries Ltd., Centralia, ON, serves as past president. Scott Walker of PBS Doors, Surrey, BC, was elected to the board.
Carolina Brush, Inc. of Gastonia, NC, has appointed Fred Spach, Jr., its president. Spach, whose great-grandfather founded the company, is the fourth generation to run it.
Apogee Enterprises, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN, has announced that Jim Martineau has retired from the company, though he will remain on its board of directors. Martineau rose to prominence in 1969 when his innovative idea laid the groundwork for a regional glass fabrication plant in the Midwest that became Viracon.
Steve Wilson has returned to Pacific Door & Closer, Inc. of San Francisco, CA, to assume the position of operations manager. Wilson, who spent the previous three years as a manufacturers representative, has more than 15 years of experience in the door and hardware field.
Ron Selves, vice president-sales and marketing for Wausau Metals of Wausau, WI, has retired from the company. Selves, who will continue to consult with the company until a replacement is found, joined Wausau Metals in 1981 and has helped the company win bids for dozens of large building projects, including the St. Regis Sheraton in New York, NY, and the Carlson Center in suburban Minneapolis, MN.
The GlassWerks Group of Los Angeles, CA, has named Edward Mullery general manager of its architectural glass fabrication subsidiary in Phoenix, AZ. Mullery, who was previously branch manger for ACIs glass division, will be responsible for management of the Phoenix facility.
Bostik Inc., of Middleton, MA, has promoted Steven C. Shaw to the position of western regional sales manager. Shaw, who has been a territory manager for the company since 1983, will be responsible for sales training and business development with Bostiks western regional sales team.
The company has also named Nancy Fleury-Crochiere its technical service specialist. In her new position, Fleury-Crochiere will provide product recommendations, perform adhesive bond evaluations and analyze competitive products.
