According to the company, the technology will give customers the ability to browse products by picture and customize their orders with unlimited options. The configurator-based software will then automatically calculate prices based on individual specifications.
Insulgard Corporation of New Hudson, MI, offers CoastGard, storm resistant glazing, and Secur-Gard, security glass clad polycarbonate glazing, for security glazing applications. Coastgard, which includes DuPonts SentryGlas Plus ionoplast resin interlayer, is ideal for storm doors, operable windows, exterior residential and storefront doors, fixed glazed panels, curtainwalls, skylights and glass entrances, according to the company. Secur-Gard, which consists of multiple pieces of glass and polycarbonate bonded with urethane interlayers, is designed for use in correctional and psychiatric facilities, dayrooms, cell glazing, corridor glazing and control rooms.
Wausau Metals of Wausau, WI, has enhanced its Superwall to create the Thermax series of windows and curtainwalls. According to the company, the Thermax Wall curtainwall system offers a winter U-value as low as 0.20 BTU/hr/sqft/degF and a frame condensation resistance factor of up to 80. The Thermax Window Series, which incorporates the Insulbar thermal barrier, is available in fixed, pivoted, casement and projected models.
Norton Performance Plastics of Wayne, NJ, have Thermal-bond structural glazing spacers that come with Thermalbond V2100 foam tape on two sides. The pressure-sensitive adhesive holds the glazing panels in place with structural silicone cures. According to the company, the tape is compatible with sealants and materials most frequently used for structural glazing systems and its cell structure allows air to reach the silicone permitting optimum curing.
Access Hardware Supply of San Leandro, CA, is stocking the new Folger Adams 500 series electric strike. According to the company, the 500 series is available in popular sizes and the same keeper accepts 1/2-, 5/8- or 3/4-inch latch bolts. According to the company, the Thiokol 802 is a low-modulus, two-component, polysulfide sealant for use in the fabrication of organically sealed glass units. The company says Thiokol 811, 822 and 824 are a family of high thixotropy, polysulfide sealants having varied ranges of application life and extrusion and cure rates.
American Isuzu Motors Inc. has announced the availability of the Isuzu truck owner protection extended service coverage plan for all current N and F-series models. According to the company, Isuzu truck owners may chose from a variety of options, which can extend Isuzu truck protection for NPR gas models up to five years/100,000 miles and up to five years/150,000 miles for NPR Diesel, NQR and F-series models.
