Access Hardware Supply of San Leandro, CA, has introduced its computerized security systems GardLok 300 series. The GardLok is engineered to easily retrofit to a narrow stile aluminum door with an Adams Rite MS 1850 series swing-bolt or compatible locksets, according to the company. The unit has one master personal identification number (PIN) with up to nine PIN codes. Other features are its time-out after six unauthorized code attempts and a low battery warning. Finishes available are powder coated simulated duranodic and aluminum with a rubber coated keypad.
Simplex Unicans 4000 series is now in stock at Access. The 4000 series is an all-weather, heavy-duty, cylindrical electronic lockset which meets or exceeds ANSI/BHMA 156.2 grade 1 compliance, according to Access. The series is completely self contained using four AA alkaline batteries and carries a UL fire rating for a three hour "A" labeled door.
Access is also introducing DETEX EXL-600 to its line of electrified locking hardware. The ECL-600 design includes a latchbolt with a 1-inch throw for secure, automatic relatching in addition to the deadbolt currently in use in the ECL-230.
The Smart Touch bar is an exit device from CHMI of Keokuk, IA. The bar has no moving parts and no pressure is required for use, according to the company. The act of touching the bar trips an electronic sensor which releases the door lock. An advantage of the bar is that it will accommodate larger, monumental doors with fewer design restrictions, said the company.
Kawneer Company Inc. of Nor-cross, GA, has introduced the 1690 and 1790 Dor-O-Matic touch bar exit panic devices. The 1690, which features a concealed vertical rod, is designed for use on single or double pairs of doors in medium traffic. The 1790, which is a rim exit device, is similar to the 1690 in basic features but differs in latch mechanisms. According to the company, both devices carry the Underwriters Laboratory 305 label and meet the requirements of ANSI Grade I.
The electronically-powered 4622 series automatic door operator is now available from Security Lock Distributors. The door operator permits the door to open slowly and eliminates the need for guardrails or safety mats. The company says it also meets American Disabilities Act requirements. The operator can accommodate 4- by 6-feet interior doors and 3- by 6-feet exterior doors.
Kirkland, WA-based Technical Glass Products has announced its FireLite IGU is now available. The fire-rated, insulated glass ceramic unit is constructed with FireLite or FireLite Plus on one side, a sheet of float or tempered glass on the other and an air space in between. The unit is designed for use in exterior applications where energy codes require an insulating product, or for interior applications with special needs such as sound reduction, according to the company.
The Expressions line of color anodize processes for aluminum products is now available from Linetec. Colors offered include burgundy, pewter, blue and green. According to the company, the process is suitable for traditional anodized aluminum building components such as windows, doors and skylights. The new color finishes will have the same life span of the traditional silver and bronze and anodize finishes, said the company.

The PLS3 Standard Laser Tool is a compact unit which comes in a leather carrying pouch and weighs only 12 ounces. The tool projects bright laser beams three ways to establish plumb and level, according to the company. It is accurate to within ¼-inch at 100 feet.

Features of the software include optimization control, hand cutting, labels and a breakout monitor.
