Viracon Reorganizes Sales and Marketing Group
The sales and marketing group for Viracon of Owatonna, MN, has been reorganized. Rick Voelker is the new director of export and technical marketing. He will provide overall management to the company’s export, technical services and architectural design departments. Brenda Guderian recently joined the company as its marketing communications manager. Her responsibilities include management and coordination of the company’s advertising, public relations and promotional programs.

Christine Shaffer has been promoted to protective glazing products manager. Her new responsibilities will include the promotion of products for security- and blast-related applications. Julie Ebeling has been named sales process development manager. She will lead and manage implementation of information services projects related to the company’s inside sales, field sales and technical services departments. Bob Randall has been promoted to business development manager-Asia Pacific, and Sheila Meixner has been promoted to business development manager-Western hemisphere. Randall and Meixner will provide strategic direction to the company’s international regional managers and agent/representative networks as well as implement selling strategies for targeted projects. JJ Han is the company’s new Asia/Pacific operations manager. He will be based out of Singapore and will be responsible for the selling strategies and activities in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.

Guardian Creates New Position
Guardian Industries Corp of Auburn Hills, MI, recently created a new position, director of science and technology. The company announced that Scott V. Thomsen has been appointed to the position and will be responsible for consolidating the company’s product design and engineering, research and development functions. Previously Thomsen was vice president, engineering and fabrication operations at OIS Optical Imaging Systems Inc.

TruSeal Makes Changes
TruSeal Technologies of Beachwood, OH, has named Jie Wang as its business development manager - Asia Pacific and Michael Gaynor as sales representative. Wang will be responsible for working with sales agents to develop strategies for China and Southeast Asia. Previously she has worked in sales with AEG, a German company, and was a marketing coordinator for Waxman Industry. Gaynor will manage sales activities in Southern California, Nevada and Utah from his office in Oceanside, CA. USG
