Heritage Windows Capture Historic
Aesthetics in Tennessee
The architect working on the renovation and modernization of Fletcher Hall at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) chose Heritage Windows by Wausau Window and Wall Systems because they capture the historic aesthetics of the building and the campus as a whole. The 70-year -old building, built in collegiate-gothic style, was renovated from a library to a student-orientated facility for the UTC School of Business. The Wausau WI-based company supplied more than 400 Heritage windows for the project. Heritage features a narrow profile steel window with a putty-glazed look.
Vistawall Skylights and Curtainwall Illuminate
the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge
Naturalite Skylight Systems and Vistawall Architectural
Products, both part of The Vistawall Group, were chosen to supply over 51,000 square feet
of skylights and curtainwall for the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. BMS-3000
skylights cover most of the available walking area, providing natural light throughout the
building. Large spans create a light-filled area spacious enough for a carousel and giant
palm trees. The CW-250 curtainwall system was used on the malls exterior and
entryways, and was also employed to enclose and protect the interior glass elevator. The
mall is one of the largest retail projects built in the United States in the 90s.
