Paula-Winkler Doman has temporarily left her position as vice president and general manager of glass systems for Visteon. According to company sources, Doman is on a
one-year leave of absence.

Valerie Block, formerly a technical consultant for the Glass Association of North America, has been named the new technical director for the Primary Glass Manufacturers Council (PGMC). She has more than 20 years of industry experience and has served on numerous industry committees such as the Glazing Industry Code Committee and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM).

Dez Farnady, former manager of architectural products for ACI Distribution of Santa Clara, Calif., has retired. He now serves as general manager of Royalite Manufacturing in San Carlos, Calif.

Jay Triplett, former director of manufacturing for EFCO located in Monett, Mo., has been promoted to vice president, manufacturing and elected to the company’s board of directors. In this position, he is responsible for the management of EFCO’s two production facilities located in Monett, Mo., and Barnwell, S.C.

Triplett joined the company in 1996 as its quality assurance manager, was promoted to plant manager in 1998 and director of manufacturing in 1999.

Apogee’s TruVue Unit
Announces Recent Promotion

Apogee’s TruVue Unit, based in McCool, Ill., has announced the promotion of Thomas Graham from vice president and general manager to president. Graham began his career with TruVue in 1990, after more than 30 years with Owens-Illinois Inc.

“Tom’s drive and vision have built a stronger business and created more opportunity for all of our employees,” said Russell Huffer, chairman and CEO. “It’s a pleasure to provide him with a title that fits his role.”
