Shower Door Extravaganza

Shower Door Companies and Dealers Introduce Array of New Products

The shower door assists in providing many with a great mode of relaxation—a warm shower after a long day. In the interest of providing such amenities to consumers, several shower door companies have recently introduced new finishes, styles and hardware for shower doors. The following is a sampling of some of the latest innovations in shower doors available for you to fulfill the requirements of a number of jobs, and to provide your customers with the best available.

Duschqueen Features Frameless Glass Enclosures
Duschqueen Inc. of Wyckoff, N.J., has introduced a new, full-color, six-page, product brochure that details its many glass tub and shower enclosures. The company is marketing its frameless glass enclosures, along with its solid brass enclosures, using the catalog. Each catalog provides the company’s shower doors’ specifications and guarantees. Duschqueen employs a number of its own installers, but says most glazing contractors can install its lines easily.

Southeastern Aluminum Introduces Signature Frameless

Southeastern Aluminum Products Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has kicked off its Signature line by introducing the first of the series, the Signature Frameless. The Signature Frameless is a frameless shower door by-pass designed for ╝-inch glass. According to the company, the shower door is equipped with snap-extrusions and is easy to install. A solid brass or aluminum towel bar also is available with the shower door. In addition, the door’s rounded header and other polished aluminum extrusions are available in gold, silver or white finishes.

CRL Expands Shower Door Lines
Los Angeles-based C.R. Laurence Co. Inc. (CRL) has added the Regal Series Hinge to its line of frameless shower door hinges. According to the company, the Regal Series Hinge brings together several options available from other hinge types.

“No cut-outs are required,” boasted Danny Donahue, product manager. “The Regal Series requires only holes in the glass, not the more costly cut-outs. Also, the Regal Hinge is a fully-adjustable hinge and will self-center to the desired position. Other hinges that use holes instead of cut-outs don’t have this self-centering capability. The self-centering adjustment can be made either before or after the hinge is installed.”
CRL says the hinge can accommodate heavy, large doors, and is available in six standard finishes—brushed nickel, brass, chrome, gold plate, polished nickel and satin chrome.

Coastal Paragon Series Fulfills Variety of Needs
Coastal Industries Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has developed its Paragon Series bath enclosure system to offer fabricators an answer for constant customer needs. According to the company, the Paragon Series is constructed with rounded, two-piece headers, along with custom corner options such as the interlocking corner joint. Coastal says that the interlocking corner joint allows the door to open at an angle anywhere between 90 and 180 degrees. Likewise, the enclosure features a continuous hinge combined with an opposite, full-length magnetic strip closure, which the company says creates greater stability.
“We’re very proud to offer this innovative system to the industry,” said Bill Cobb, president. “We are confident that the numerous benefits and flexibility of Paragon will answer the constantly evolving requirements of our dealers and fabricators.”

UltraGlas« Fulfills Variety of Needs with Extensive Line
Ultraglas Inc. of Chatsworth, Calif., has introduced an entire line of shower doors to fulfill the varying needs of glaziers throughout the industry. UltraGlas’ Bel Air design features an irregular shaped and fire-polished edge combined with standard UltraSea and UltraCrinkle textures. In addition, the company can bend or temper its embossed architectural glass for a customized look. Likewise, the Rough Seas shower door from UltraGlas is custom-shaped to appear as ocean waves at the top, along with the appearance of textural waves, created with the use of the UltraSwirl. Similarly, its UltraStarburst design comes with an UltraSlate background texture, along with brass hardware. According to a press release issued by the company, “low maintenance UltraGlas embossed glass panels provide elegant privacy without limiting light transmission.”

Splendor™ Offers Array of Shower Door Options
Splendor Elegant Bath Enclosures of Holland, Ohio, offers a variety of options for shower doors. The company’s Premier Series features a round header design with a polished smooth frame and a side jamb lock that holds the track in place and prevents leakage.
