Shower Door Companies and Dealers Introduce Array of New Products
The shower door assists in providing many with a great mode of
relaxationa warm shower after a long day. In the interest of providing such
amenities to consumers, several shower door companies have recently introduced new
finishes, styles and hardware for shower doors. The following is a sampling of some of the
latest innovations in shower doors available for you to fulfill the requirements of a
number of jobs, and to provide your customers with the best available.
Duschqueen Features Frameless Glass Enclosures
Duschqueen Inc. of Wyckoff, N.J., has introduced a new, full-color, six-page, product
brochure that details its many glass tub and shower enclosures. The company is marketing
its frameless glass enclosures, along with its solid brass enclosures, using the catalog.
Each catalog provides the companys shower doors specifications and guarantees.
Duschqueen employs a number of its own installers, but says most glazing contractors can
install its lines easily.
Southeastern Aluminum Introduces Signature Frameless
Southeastern Aluminum Products Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has kicked off its Signature
line by introducing the first of the series, the Signature Frameless. The Signature
Frameless is a frameless shower door by-pass designed for ¼-inch glass. According to the
company, the shower door is equipped with snap-extrusions and is easy to install. A solid
brass or aluminum towel bar also is available with the shower door. In addition, the
doors rounded header and other polished aluminum extrusions are available in gold,
silver or white finishes.
CRL Expands Shower Door Lines
Los Angeles-based C.R. Laurence Co. Inc. (CRL) has added the Regal Series Hinge to its
line of frameless shower door hinges. According to the company, the Regal Series Hinge
brings together several options available from other hinge types.
No cut-outs are required, boasted Danny Donahue, product manager. The
Regal Series requires only holes in the glass, not the more costly cut-outs. Also, the
Regal Hinge is a fully-adjustable hinge and will self-center to the desired position.
Other hinges that use holes instead of cut-outs dont have this self-centering
capability. The self-centering adjustment can be made either before or after the hinge is
installed.
CRL says the hinge can accommodate heavy, large doors, and is available in six standard
finishesbrushed nickel, brass, chrome, gold plate, polished nickel and satin chrome.
Coastal Paragon Series Fulfills Variety of Needs
Coastal Industries Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has developed its Paragon Series bath
enclosure system to offer fabricators an answer for constant customer needs. According to
the company, the Paragon Series is constructed with rounded, two-piece headers, along with
custom corner options such as the interlocking corner joint. Coastal says that the
interlocking corner joint allows the door to open at an angle anywhere between 90 and 180
degrees. Likewise, the enclosure features a continuous hinge combined with an opposite,
full-length magnetic strip closure, which the company says creates greater stability.

UltraGlas® Fulfills Variety of Needs with Extensive Line
Ultraglas Inc. of Chatsworth, Calif., has introduced an entire line of shower doors to
fulfill the varying needs of glaziers throughout the industry. UltraGlas Bel Air
design features an irregular shaped and fire-polished edge combined with standard UltraSea
and UltraCrinkle textures. In addition, the company can bend or temper its embossed
architectural glass for a customized look. Likewise, the Rough Seas shower door from
UltraGlas is custom-shaped to appear as ocean waves at the top, along with the appearance
of textural waves, created with the use of the UltraSwirl. Similarly, its UltraStarburst
design comes with an UltraSlate background texture, along with brass hardware. According
to a press release issued by the company, low maintenance UltraGlas embossed glass
panels provide elegant privacy without limiting light transmission.
Splendor Offers Array of Shower Door Options
Splendor Elegant Bath Enclosures of Holland, Ohio, offers a variety of options for shower
doors. The companys Premier Series features a round header design with a polished
smooth frame and a side jamb lock that holds the track in place and prevents leakage. Each
door in the Premier series is equipped with standard sliding enclosures, a
stay-clean track, two towel bars, bumper guide stops and slotted roller
assembly.
Similarly, Splendors Deluxe Series is a line of enclosures constructed of bright
dipped anodized aluminum or powder-coated aluminum, according to the company. Each of the
doors in the series features a by-pass stop to keep the inside lite on the same side as
the shower head, an easy-to-clean open track, inside and outside towel bars and doors that
glide easily, Splendor says.
In addition, Splendor has available the Infinity Series, which also is equipped with a
stay-clean track, outside towel bar and inside knob for easy opening. Its Euro-Style
Series comes with curved towel bars, a round header and 3/16- or ¼-inch frameless
tempered safety glass and the Custom Stall Euro Series, specifically, is offered with a
round stall header and a curved handle option.
