The Texas Glass Association (TGA), USGlass, Door & Window Maker, AGRR, Window Film and La Revista del Vidrio, Fachadas y Ventanas magazines are sponsoring the annual Glass TEXpo 2001, dedicated to providing education and business networking opportunities to the glass industry. The two-day expo will be held August 17 and 18 at the Adamís Mark Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk in San Antonio. In the state where everything is bigger and better, TEXpo promises to be a profitable learning experience for all who exhibit and attend. Last year, more than 1,000 industry professionals attended the event.

Experitexpopicence San Antonio
While attending TEXpo, youíll want to take some time to experience San Antonio. The city is full of breathtaking scenery and  memorable spots including the famous Riverwalk. And this year, Glass TEXpoís headquarters hotel, the Adamís Mark Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk, is in the center of all the excitement. Take a walk through the various busy shops and bustling restaurants while enjoying the contrasting peaceful flow of the river itself.

Aside from the Riverwalk, San Antonio has additional attractions, such as the Alamo, an IMAX theater, the Texas Highway Patrol Museum and the Texas Trolley, which will provide visitors with a narrated tour of the various city sites and historical background of the buildings in the San Antonio area.

Exhibits and Seminars
While youíre not enjoying all San Antonio has to offer, you can view exhibits from top companies in the auto and flat glass and metal industries, including window and shower door products, films and tints, glazing supplies, windshield repair supplies and much more. The exhibit hall will be open from 2- 6 p.m. on Friday, August 17 and from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, August 18.

There will also be a series of seminars over the course of the weekend designed to educate and improve business practices by presenting new techniques, industry trends and successful methods of improving your company. Avoiding employee lawsuits, understanding the new auto glass industry safety standards and a two-part series on selling and service are among the many topics presented in order to provide a competitive edge to industry companies. Attendees can also view demonstrations of proper techniques for auto glass and shower door installations.
