Win-door 2002 Enjoys Successful Turnout
Win-door 2002, which took place November 20-22 in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, featured 165 exhibitors offering everything from computer hardware, software, doors, doorlites, hardware, machinery, sealants, weatherseals and other products for the fenestration industry.

“Win-door North America 2002 was truly the most complete fenestration industry package,” said Richard Poirier, president of the Canadian Window and Door Manufacturers Association (CWDMA). “By all accounts that I have heard, the machinery people have reported tremendous traffic and great sales at the show. After eight incredible years of expansion, Win-door North America has truly become synonymous with being the most focused show in the North American window and door market.”

ARIEL The trade show took place in 100,000 square feet of space, and more than 3,300 participants from Canada and the United States, as well as other countries, took part in the event.

Seminars also were offered during the event. “Knowledge and information are key ingredients to the success of any manufacturing business today,” said Jim Parker, show chairperson. “Therefore, the show committee has responded to requests from show visitors for topical seminars on issues relating to many aspects of the window and door industry. The following presentations took place: argon gas-filling and testing; installation: how to overcome a pane in the glass; and self-cleaning glass.
