EFCO Names Todd Joubert VP of Sales
EFCO Corp. of Monett, Mo., has named Todd Joubert its vice president of sales. Prior to his promotion, Joubert served as national sales manager.
“EFCO Corp. is happy to promote a strong performer like Todd to this crucial position,” said Mike Woodrum, director of marketing. “Todd has built a solid base of experience that will continue to be extremely valuable to us in the future.”
Named one of USGlass magazine’s “People to Watch” in 1998, Joubert has been with EFCO since 2001 and has more than 16 years of industry-related experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Arkansas University.
Lori Postak Named Associate Director of R&D at TruSeal
Lori Postak has been promoted to the position of associate director of research and development for TruSeal Technologies in Beachwood, Ohio.
In this role, Postak, who is a polymer chemist, will be responsible for product support, project portfolio management and specific key projects.
Prior to her promotion, she served in marketing as a product manager for eight years and was also a project leader during the development of new insulating glass spacers.
Postak has been with TruSeal for 16 years and has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s in macromolecular science from Case Western Reserve University.
Valerie Block Joins DuPont as Architectural Marketing Representative
DuPont Glass Laminating Products, based in Wilmington, Del., has announced that Valerie Block has joined the company as an architectural marketing representative for DuPont™ SentryGlas® Plus, SentryGlas Secure™ and Butacite laminating products and service offerings.
Most recently Block served as technical director for the Primary Glass Manufacturers Council, and has also held previous staff positions with the Glass Association of North American and the Protective Glazing Council. She also served as the 2002 chairperson of the American Society of Testing Materials Committee E06 "Symposium on the Use of Glass in Buildings."
She is a graduate of Ithaca College in New York, and has master's degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania.

"The knowledge and talent that Valerie brings to our team will help us continue to accelerate our pace in expanding the marketplace for laminated glass and the glass industry as a whole."
Dave Cook Promoted to CFO at Coastal Industries
Coastal Industries of Jacksonville, Fla., has announced that Dave Cook has been promoted to chief financial officer. Prior to the promotion, Cook served as controller.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Cook will now be responsible for supervising all corporate accounting functions, banking tasks, annual budgeting and other key financial activities for the company.
“I am impressed with the level of accounting expertise Dave possesses and has demonstrated at Coastal,” said Ray Adams, president of Coastal. “In his new position, I am confident Dave will continue to utilize his wealth of knowledge to complement Coastal’s future sales growth and increased manufacturing demands.”
CRL Hires John O’Brien as Architectural Hardware Products Manager
Los Angeles-based C.R. Laurence Co. Inc. (CRL) has announced the hiring of John O’Brien as an architectural hardware products manager.
O’Brien has more than 20 years of industry experience, and before joining CRL worked with ACI in charge of the company’s Classic Products line.
In his new role with CRL, O’Brien will assist customers with architectural hardware needs and technical issues and questions.
“As we grow and expand our architectural product line, we need to have experienced people like John who can help our customers and our employees,” said CRL president and chief executive officer Donald E. Friese. “John brings his talent and technical know-how to our company. In the years he has spent in our industry, John has developed a reputation of knowing this product line.”
Art Huard Moves to Viracon as Regional Sales Rep
Owatonna, Minn.-based Viracon has announced that Art Huard has joined the company as a regional sales representative.
Huard has worked in the North American glass industry since 1975. His territory will include Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y.
“Art’s incredible history of representing quality glass products is a strong, positive addition to the Viracon sales team,” said Ron McCann, Viracon national sales manager.
Terry Snyder Joins Bromer Inc.
Bromer Inc. of Canada has announced that Terry Snyder has joined the company’s sales and marketing team.
Snyder has more than 30 years of experience in the glass processing and equipment sales arena.
Industrial Sales Names New Rep
Industrial Sales Corp. of Westport, Conn., has announced that Ralph Wearsch has joined the company as a sales representative in its Southern division.
According to the company, Wearsch possesses an extensive background in the fenestration industry, including serving as operations manager for Moss Supply and engineering manager at Easco Vinyl. In addition, Wearsch worked as general foreman of manufacturing for Norandex and rolling division production supervisor for U.S. Steel. Wearsch will represent Industrial Sales in North Carolina, South Carolina and East Tennessee.
Columbia Commercial Building Products Hires New Estimator
Dan Smith has recently joined Columbia Commercial Building Products’ Rockwall, Texas, facility as a storefront estimator. Previously, Smith was with Vistawall Architectural Products.
In addition to servicing its storefront division, Columbia expects to integrate Smith into its commercial window-estimating department as well.
Pilkington Pyrostop™ Appointments Announced
Having established the Pilkington Pyrostop division in North America, Nils Brinkman has returned to Germany, after working in the United States for two years. He has been appointed the position of marketing manager, Fire Protection Glass Worldwide. Brinkman has been with Pilkington since 1996.
Bret Penrod has been appointed the position of general manager, Pilkington Pyrostop North America. He will be reporting to Brinkman.
Penrod will be responsible for further development and marketing of Pilkington Pyrostop in North America, as well as the product’s sales and fabrication. Prior to this appointment he served as senior process engineer for the company’s Rossford float plant. He has been with the company since 1981.
Morse Announces Employee Changes
Morse Industries of Kent, Wash., has announced a number of personnel changes.
Tami St. John has been promoted to the position of purchasing manager. She has been with the company for 14 years.
Two new hires have also been announced at Morse. Daniel Figueroa has joined as a customer support manager in the architectural glass and railing department. Brenda Holcombe has also joined the company as a customer support representative.
Management Changes Announced at Corbin
Corbin Glass Co. of Corbin, Ky., has announced several new appointments, coinciding with a change of ownership.
Jacob C. Carr Jr. has been named the company’s new president and owner. An employee of the company since its 1953 inception, Carr served as vice president before acquiring full ownership of the corporation last June.
Filling the vacant vice president position will be A.J. Carr. A project manager for the company since 1995, Carr helped develop a design/build division and has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial glass industry.
Nathan Ledford will take over Carr’s previous project manager position. Ledford has seven years experience in distribution and storefront/curtainwall projects and was previously employed by Kawneer.
