YKK Corp. Announces
New Group Officer
The YKK Corp., based in Tokyo, has named E. Alex Gregory, current president and chief executive officer of YKK Corp. of America, its first non-Japanese group officer. He assumed the additional responsibilities on April 1.
“My hope is that I will now be in a better position to influence YKK’s global strategies in a way that will positively impact my YKK colleagues in North and Latin America,” said Gregory.
YKK AP is part of the YKK America Group.
Adhesives Research Inc. Announces New Vice President and Director
Glen Rock, Pa.-based Adhesives Research Inc. has announced two promotions within its quality and compliance department.
Mary Gallagher has been named the company’s new global vice president of quality and compliance. In this position she is responsible for managing the overall quality systems activities and compliance programs at manufacturing locations in Glen Rock and Limerick, Ireland.
Gregory Young has been promoted to director of quality and compliance for the company’s headquarter facility in Glen Rock. He is responsible for the management of the quality systems and compliance programs.
Slicker and Grothoff Join the Arch Team
Arch Aluminum & Glass of Tamarac, Fla., has announced the hiring of Derek Slicker and Greg Grothoff.
Slicker joins the company’s Waukesha, Wis., operation as an outside sales person. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and brings previous sales and management experience to his position.
At Arch’s California location, Grothoff will be in charge of the door department. Grothoff grew up in glass and glazing industry, as his family has a glazing operation in Missouri. Prior to joining Arch he was with Oldcastle’s Fremont operation for three years.
“Both of these guys bring talent and energy to the table,” said Steve Perilstein, national sales manager. “We are thrilled to have them with us.”
Desert Glass Products
Forms New Management Team
A new management team has been assembled for Desert Glass Products’ North Las Vegas fabrication plant.
“During the first six months of our plant’s operations we have continued to add key personnel to better service our growing customer base,” said Larry Jaynes, owner and president. “We’ve also recognized the need to empower our people to provide our customers [with] unparalleled products and services.”
The following are the new sales managers: Norman Turf, Nevada and California; Jim Fendley and Rick Kurzeil, Arizona.
In addition, Jerome Ellis is the new production manufacturer and David Kerl is the new office and accounting manager.
