AFG Announces Personnel Changes and Promotions
AFG Industries Inc. of Kingsport, Tenn., has announced a number of personnel changes and appointments in several of its plants.
Kelly Busch has been appointed to the position of vice president, technical development. In his new role Busch will be responsible for the development of all float and rolled glass products, coated products, research and development, glass-making goals and technical assistance for all plants.
In addition, Brian Collins has been promoted to the newly created position of manager of vacuum coating processes within its technical development group. Previously he served as plant manager for the company’s Victorville, Calif., coating plant.
Mike Hubbard will assume the role of plant manager in Victorville, where he previously served as production manager.
At the company’s Cinnaminson, N.J., plant Shaun Banner has been promoted to the position of plant manager. Banner most recently served as the production manager at the New Jersey facility.
Frank Donaghy has been named production manager in Cinnaminson. He has been with the company for nine years in various manufacturing roles.
Chris Carpenter has also been promoted and is the new technical manager. He has been with the company for five years.
The new robot project leader is Michael Barnes, who previously served as production supervisor.
Four promotions were also announced within the company’s insulating division, AGF Residential, at plants in Marshall, Mich., and Boardman, Ohio.
John Pasquale has been named regional manager for both Marshall and Boardman. Prior to his promotion Pasquale served as the plant manager and operations manager in Boardman.
Additionally, Dave Young has been promoted to plant manager in Boardman. He has more than ten years of experience in management.
Mike Malutic has also been promoted and will serve as production manager in Boardman. He has been with the company since 1995 and previously served as shift superintendent.
In addition AFG has promoted Steve Danyi to the position of production manager in Marshall. He has been with the company since 1995.
YKK AP Announces Promotions
YKK AP America Inc., based in Austell, Ga., has promoted Oliver Stepe to the position of senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing. In addition to his existing responsibilities as head of sales and branch operations, Stepe will now manage the marketing department and the company’s project business group.
The company has also promoted Doug Penn to the position of director of marketing. Penn has served as the marketing manager for the past few years. As a director, Penn will continue to run normal operations of the marketing department, and also play a more active role in driving the development of new products and pursuing strategic initiatives in product management.
In addition, Mike Turner has been appointed to the position of director of technical services. Turner will continue to oversee sales group IT operations, but will also assume new responsibilities in driving continuous improvement of headquarters-based engineering functions. Turner has also been assigned direct management of the DirectTECH branch sales applications engineering group.
Walters & Wolf Announces Leadership Changes
Walters & Wolf of Fremont, Calif., has announced structural changes in its leadership.
Randy Wolf, chief executive officer, has created a board of directors that consists of six chief operating officers (COO), each representing one of the company’s six construction groups. The COOs will report to an executive committee that consists of the following: Wolf, Steve Burnett, president of Walters & Wolf Curtain Wall in Seattle and Mike Wolf, president of Walters & Wolf Interiors in the San Francisco Bay area and Cascade Door & Hardware in the Seattle area.
The new COOs are:
Craig Weltz, Walters & Wolf Construction Specialties, Chandler, Ariz.; Doug Frost, Walters & Wolf Precast, Fremont, Calif.; John Fulton, Major Projects, Fremont, Calif.; Nick Kocelj, Walters & Wolf Glass, Fremont, San Francisco and La Verne, Calif.; Rick Calhoun, Walters & Wolf Interiors, Cascade Door & Hardware, Fremont, San Francisco and Rohnert Park, Calif., and the Seattle area; and Tom Black, Walters & Wolf Curtain Wall, in the Seattle area.
Jeff Belzer will serve as chief financial officer.
