Vistawall Names Cindy Aveard General Manager of Western Region
Vistawall Architectural Products of Terrell, Texas, has announced that Cindy Aveard has been promoted to general manager of its Western region.
Aveard has been with Vistawall since 1994, and became regional sales manager in 1999.
“Cindy Aveard has succeeded in every role she’s had at Vistawall, and I have no doubt she will succeed in this one,” said Tom Harris, president of the Vistawall Group. “The combination of her more recent sales role and past experience in operations management give her the base of experience we need in this position.”
Richard T. Sedory, Esq. to Searve as VP Corporate Human Resources for TRACO
TRACO, headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pa., has announced that Richard T. Sedory, Esq., has joined the company as vice president of human resources and general counsel. Prior to joining TRACO, Sedory served as vice president human resources for Citizens Bank in Pittsburgh. His human resources and administration experience includes talent acquisition and retention, employee development, compensation, HRIS and benefits, discrimination and EEO laws, succession planning and litigation and audit management.
Sedory has bachelors degrees in business and political science and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
F. Barkow Inc. Names David Schindler General Manager
F. Barkow Inc. of Milwaukee has hired David Schindler as its general manager. He will be responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations of the company, including scheduling, purchasing, supervising plant personnel and DNR and OSHA compliance.
Schindler has more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing. He has both an engineering and legal background, and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He replaces Clayton Smith, vice president of manufacturing, who has been on extended leave from the company.
“We are pleased to add Dave Schindler to our talented team. He brings many skills to the table, and I am confident that he will make an impact not only on F. Barkow, but on the glass industry as a whole,” said president John Weise.
F. Barkow Inc. has also announced that George Rand and his company Rand Sales & Marketing of Marlton, N.J., will be its new manufacturer’s rep for New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania.
Adams Rite Makes a Number of Organizational Changes
Adams Rite Mfg. Co., a manufacturer of doors and door hardware products based in Pomona, Calif., has announced several organizational changes.
Kevin Hamilton will become group director of its architectural hardware group (AHG). As group director, Hamilton’s responsibilities include the sales, marketing and business development of AHG.
Dave Orban has been promoted to vice president of business development with responsibility for sales, marketing and related activities.
Ron Gentern has been appointed Eastern sales manager with responsibility for sales in the domestic territory east of the Mississippi and Texas.
In addition, Scott Sabatini has been promoted to manager, architectural specifications, with responsibilities for the entire specification process for the Rite Door, Adams Rite door hardware and Markar products.
AFG Glass Names Ben Edwards Director of Benchmarking
Tom Dougherty, vice president of primary glass, has named Ben Edwards director of benchmarking for AFG Glass. In his new role, Edwards will be responsible for international benchmarking efforts and will direct the process throughout AFG.
“The benchmarking process allows us to compare many operational systems and variables and determine those that result in the most favorable outcomes—making AFG a stronger company,” Dougherty said.
Edwards’ previous positions with the company include glass technologist, quality supervisor, quality manager, technical manager and production manager, the latter being his most recent position before being named to his new post.
