GANA Perspectives
A Group Effort
Recognizing
Volunteers Who Work for Our Industry
by Stanley L. Smith
Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a large group of dedicated volunteers to support an industry association. The Glass Association of North America (GANA) is no exception and wishes to acknowledge and thank its volunteer leaders, as well as our entire membership, for their hard work throughout 2004.
It was the effort of our volunteers that lead to the publication of two glass informational bulletins, two test methods, a document on mirror handling, a specifiers guide on architectural glass and the revised GANA Glazing Manual last year. While those accomplishments were immense, we are now looking forward to the activities of 2005, expecting more projects to be completed than ever before.
Should you have an opportunity, please take a moment to express your appreciation to these volunteer leaders. Our industry benefits from the work to which they are dedicated. On behalf of the industry and the membership of GANA, we applaud their efforts and appreciate their dedication.
