Bringing Changes to Basco
Paul Williams, vice president of sales and marketing for Basco, a shower enclosure manufacturer in Mason, Ohio, announced the promotion of
Linda Garman to the newly-created position of director of marketing communications and the hiring of
Jeff Roy as director of customer service.
A company employee for nearly 25 years, Garman previously served as director of customer relations. In her new position, she will oversee corporate communications regarding product lines, pricing and new product announcements both internally and externally to customers and sales
representatives.
As director of customer service, Roy will identify improvements in customer service and prepare the company for sales growth.
Petri Lammi Promoted to VP and COO of Glassrobots
Glassrobots Oy of Finland has announced the promotion of Petri Lammi to vice president and chief operating officer (COO). He began his career with Glassrobots in 1988 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the safety glass industry, including work in product and strategic business developments and technical sales management.
Most recently he served as director of architectural glass technology.

Granite Construction Appoints James W. Bradford to its Board
Granite Construction Inc. of Watsonville, Calif., announced the appointment of
James W. Bradford to its board of directors. Bradford is dean of the Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of
Management.
Bradford previously served as associate dean, corporate relations and clinical professor of management of the school. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Bradford was president and chief executive officer (CEO) of United Glass Corp. and also served as president and CEO of AFG Industries Inc. He also has eleven years of experience in a private law practice.
In addition, he is a board member of Genesco Inc. and Clarcor Corp.
Crane Revolving Door Co. Expands Sales Force
Crane Revolving Door Co., part of DORMA Group North America Co., is now working with independent representatives in Canada. The sales force will assist the glass and glazing community as well as architects, within their territories.
Art Huard of Glass Source Inc. will cover Eastern Canada and Bermuda, including New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
Ross Rutherford of Rutherford Ventures Inc. will be responsible for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Peter Skinner of D.J. Skinner and Associates Ltd. will be responsible for British Columbia.
Dave Mispagel Appointed Bystronic’s Western Regional Sales Manager
Bystronic Inc. has appointed
Dave Mispagel as its new Western regional sales manager. Mispagel has more than 25 years in the glass industry, and has held a variety of sales and management positions with several West Coast manufacturing and fabrication companies.
In his new position he will oversee all sales and service operations in California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico. |

GANA Announces New Committee Chair
The Glass Association of North America’s (GANA) building envelope contractors (BEC) division has appointed
Henry Taylor of Kawneer Co. Inc. as the new chairperson of its technical committee. He succeeds
Charles Clift of Curtain Wall Design & Consulting Inc.
Taylor currently manages a newly formed architectural services team for Kawneer, where he works as the company’s contact for AIA CES programs.
He also works with the United States Green Building Council as Kawneer’s contact for promoting its products for their interaction with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
(LEED).
Taylor graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in marketing.

Royal Adhesive & Sealants has appointed
Daniel Lesniak as the national sales manager for Gunther Mirror Mastics.
Prior to joining the Royal/Gunther team, he was the national sales manager for a commercial window manufacturer. Lesniak has extensive background in the construction industry coupled with the product and territory development.
Edgetech Names New Sales and Marketing Assistant
Carrie Wilson has accepted the position of sales and marketing assistant for Edgetech I.G. Inc. Wilson’s responsibilities include coordinating customer in-house visits, assisting sales agreement processes, equipment delivery, training logistics and managing marketing collateral inventories.
Prior to joining Edgetech, Wilson was a dealer customer service representative at Wayne Dalton Corp. She holds a bachelor of science in business from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio.
Duguay Joins INEX Spacer as Distribution Sales Manager
Robert “Bob” Duguay has joined INEX Spacer Inc. as distributor sales manager. Duguay will be responsible for Canadian sales of the company’s spacers as well as related products and equipment from its distribution subsidiary, Thermo Distribution.
In addition, he will help in the expansion of Thermo Distribution’s market into the United States.
Duguay has held positions in sales, procurement, operations and management in the glass industry. Most recently, he served as a territory manager for Guardian Industries.
Davies Named Solutia Senior VP, CPFilms’ President
Kent Davies has been hired senior vice president at Solutia Inc. and will serve as president of the company’s subsidiary CPFilms Inc. In this role, Davies will report directly to Jeff Quinn, president and chief executive officer of Solutia. Davies replaces Ken Vickers, who has been named chairman emeritus.
Davies most recently served as vice president of marketing, research and development and regulatory affairs for United Industries Corp., a lawn and garden and household insect control company.
