Auto Glass Olympics Set for Las Vegas

The Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO) will be held November 1-3, 2006, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. In its second year, the event is being held in conjunction with the Auto Glass Expo at the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE). The AGTO is co-sponsored by AGRR magazine, a sister publication of USGlass, and the Independent Glass Association (IGA).

NACE will open its doors to more than 110,000 attendees coming together to broaden their knowledge of the automotive industry. An auto glass pavilion will be stationed on the show floor, which will feature the Auto Glass Technician Olympics competition arena. Admission to the NACE trade show is included in the registration fee for
contestants.

The competition is open to anyone who:

• Is currently employed as a technician in a bona fide operating auto glass company;

• Has at least one-year experience as a technician in the auto glass industry;

• Follows the AGRSS Standard 002-2002.

Participants are not required to be members of the IGA or AGRSS-registered, but discounts are available to these individuals. Pre-registration deadline is September 26, 2006.

The grand prize winner will receive $5,000, bragging rights as the World’s Best Auto Glass Technician and a gold medal. Second place receives $1,000 and third place will receive $500.
