PPG Names Kenny GM of Corporate Marketing, Construction Markets
Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries has named Patrick J. Kenny to the newly created position of general manager, corporate marketing and construction markets, effective immediately.

Kenny joined the company in 1980 and has been manager of PPG’s construction market team since 2003. He now assumes the additional responsibility of leading the company’s corporate marketing initiatives. Kenny earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and an executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. 
“Pat has led a very effective cross-business and marketing initiative between our architectural finishes, flat glass and industrial coatings business units,” said Dick Beuke, vice president of growth initiatives. “He is well qualified for this new assignment given his proven track record in business-to-business marketing, sales, strategy development and implementation, as well as his deep knowledge of the construction market. 

Viracon Names Randall VP of Statesboro Operations 
Bob Randall, a 13-year employee of Owatonna, Minn.-based Viracon, has been named vice president of operations at Viracon’s Statesboro, Ga., facility. He replaces Mike Diedrich, who left the company earlier this year. Randall had served five years as director of sales in Owatonna. Prior to that, he held numerous positions throughout the organization.

Randall has a bachelor’s degree in management from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas. He is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a certified construction documents technologist through the Construction Specifiers Institute.

Marsden Elevates Reissmann to Sales Manager
Marsden Inc. of Pennsauken, N.J., has promoted Holger Reissmann to sales manager. Reissmann has been with the company for more than nine years, most recently as regional accounts manager.

Wausau Adds Reps 
Wausau, Wis.-based Wausau Window and Wall Systems has named Greg Dalton of Dalton Architectural Systems as its manufacturer’s representative serving owners, architects, contractors and consultants in Oklahoma and Texas.

Dalton draws from 25 years of experience selling architectural products. He started in the glass industry while studying at Texas A&M University, from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s in business and marketing. 

In addition, Hunt Dickson has been named as the company’s representative in Kentucky. Dickson works in association with Wausau’s sales representative G. Bowie and Associates of Nashville, Tenn. 

Drawing from 13 years of industry experience, Dickson previously worked as a project manager with Alexander Metals Inc. in Nashville, and has also worked with a number of general contractors. Originally from Alabama, he studied electrical 
engineering at Mississippi State University and earned a degree in mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University.

AFG Names New Chief Technology Officer
AFG Industries of Atlanta has appointed Tadayuki Oi to the position of vice president of technical development and chief technical officer. Tadayuki is currently an executive officer with Asahi Glass Company and general manager of Japan Division, Japan/Asia, Flat Glass Company.

“In his new assignment, Tadayuki will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic and long term goals and objectives of the research and development, technical development and technical services organizations for AFG Industries,” said Brad Kitterman, president and chief executive officer. “He will be responsible for the management of the Petaluma, Calif., research and development facility and its research efforts, product development, coordinating with the global AGC Research and Development community and managing shared development efforts, providing technical and process support to the primary, coating and fabrication processes and providing technical support to customers and resolving product problems.” 
Tadayuki will transfer to Atlanta.

YKK AP Hires Two Managers
Lee Lurvey, CPIM, has joined YKK AP America Inc. of Austell, Ga., as the national operations manager. Lurvey will focus on the implementation and sustainability of operations best practices, policies, systems and training. He brings more than ten years 
of direct industry experience to YKK AP, and is APICS certified.

In addition, Bart Harrington has joined the company as the national accounts business manager. He will focus on business development and client relation-ship management. Harrington comes to the company with significant industry credentials with experience in sales marketing, product management, as well as training and development.

John Regan Joins 
Accura Systems Staff John Regan has accepted a position with Accura Systems Inc. of Dallas, as senior project manager. With more than 30 years experience in the storefront, curtainwall and window wall industry, Regan has extensive knowledge of engineering and project management.
