Azon Names J.E. Berkowitz L.P. First Warm-Light® Certified Fabricator

Azon has named J.E. Berkowitz (JEB) of Westville, N.J., its first Warm-Light certified fabricator. Azon says JEB was chosen because it follows methods to meet ASTM standard E 2190 and for its commitment to quality and service.

“We are thrilled to be named Azon’s first certified fabricator for its excellent Warm-Light product,” says Michael Z. Nicklas, architectural sales and marketing manager for J.E. Berkowitz. “By incorporating Warm-Light we can provide thermally-improved, structurally stronger air space material for commercial insulating glass. We look forward to working with Azon on more projects in improving the performance of insulating glass.”

Representatives from Azon recently presented a plaque to J.E. Berkowitz L.P. personnel at the company’s headquarters.

YKK AP Receives 2005 JoAn Hall “A Cut Above” Award 

YKK AP America was the recipient of the 2005 corporate JoAn Hall A Cut Above award recently presented by the Indiana Glass Association (IGA) at its annual “Evening at Hoosier Park” in Anderson, Ind. Jeff Carlson, architectural sales representative for YKK AP, accepted the corporate award on behalf of the company. 

The award program was created in 1997 to recognize one individual and one company for outstanding contributions to the IGA. 

“It is the long-term commitment, dedication and ongoing support of members like YKK AP America that truly makes a difference for our association as well as the glass industry in general,” said Kelly Dossey, IGA board president.

SAFTI FIRST™ Presents Safety Awards 

SAFTI FIRST Fire Rated Glazing Solutions recently presented more than 50 awards at its annual Safety Awards Luncheon to internal personnel who achieved perfect safety records over the past year.

“While we sustain the quality of our product, we also maintain quality in the care and encouragement of safe practices for our employees.” says Kathryn O’Keeffe, company spokesperson.
